It’s not always all about Bluetooth sound systems here.

Today arrived a customers Haltech Nexus PD16, 15 button keypad and the flex fuel sensor still to arrive. This is going into a very tough elite build Torana who already has the Haltech catalogue thrown at it including the LS Rebel and UC10 dash.

You may remember a post of mine back on the 8th March where I suffered the fate of a shed fire, a subsequent LifeFlight helicopter ride and a stay in the RBWH Burns Unit..well what you guys didn’t see, nor that I shared was my shed was totalled losing approximately 70% of the contents.

My parents were nice enough to give me a spot on their rumpus room floor where I set up a temporary work station for the last 6 months. My days consisted of going to my “normal” job at 630am to 5pm Monday -Thursday. Then straight around to Mum and Dads where I would spend the next 2-3hrs building modules and speaker kits to then drive home and start moving back into my new shed often going to bed at midnight. Only to get back up at 530am to do it all again. Some would say I’ve been burning the candle from both ends…

Now 6months later, that shed is now 95% finished, I have moved back in and set up a workspace. You may have noticed on my website I have marked the modules “Out of Stock”, they aren’t really. I just needed to apply a handbrake to slow down in order to get some sleep. The speaker kits however are available, the modules another 2 weeks yet.

So as of this afternoon I have finally caught up on my last 3 outstanding speaker kit orders, to say a weight off my shoulders is an understatement.

I’m not going to be doing any trade stands at any car shows for the rest of the year however you can always order from the website

Always love to see someone thinking outside the box..

This customer installed one of the Gravelrash Bluetooth Audio modules into the builders canopy on the back of their Dual cab Landcruiser.
Now when on site not only is the “flashest” chippy on site but also the coolest as when he lifts the side doors, turns the module on he is the PARTY 🎈 🎉

Look close and you’ll also see he has mounted a couple of 6x9” speakers in readily available speaker boxes high up in the canopy.

The next batch of the UC10 dummy displays have arrived.

How frustrating is it for the fabrication shops building someone’s dreams only to have the project stall because the funds have dried up and they cannot proceed until the customer supplies their UC10 digital display. However that means the customer forking out nearly $3k for the dash , knowing the car won’t be finished for at least another couple of years…not the case with a 3D printed version. The project can proceed with my dash, the fabricator can finish building the dash and the real UC10 can be purchased later down the track.

Little things like the nut inserts for the displays mounting, the micro usb plug on the front, the retaining clip for the harness plug and even the thread for programming plug is there!! And it’s only a dummy display to allow to keep on with the building and planning of your project.

And wow the size difference between the ic7 (22cm) and the uc10 (29cm).

Ideal tool for the fabricator to use for mocking up and building that custom dash without spending the $3k straight away.

Super stoked to have taken delivery of the newly released Haltech UC10 digital display for a customer. There is a couple of firsts for this display as it’s one of the first batch Haltech have released, it’s also the very first display for our area.
This unit will be going into a top level Torana build that also sports one of the very first Haltech LS Rebel kits.
