We are excited to announce the Ancient Empire is now fully open for exploration! 🌿

In January 2023, extensive works were initiated in consultation with local Traditional Owners to extend the Ancient Empire, creating over 400 meters of new accessible trail. Previously, the majority of the Ancient Empire remained inaccessible to individuals using wheelchairs or strollers, limiting the immersive experience for many visitors. 🍂

The significant redesign of the trail has resulted in a fully accessible and inviting loop of discovery through the majestic tingle forest. 🌿

You can experience the breathtaking Tree Top Walk and Ancient Empire every day from 9:00am - 5:00pm (last ticket sales at 4:00pm). 🍂

What a difference a day makes! Just as still this morning but beautiful & cool, even if it’s overcast! The storm last night was welcomed and has brought a nice reprieve from yesterday‘a heat.

It’s far cry from the heat in Perth at the moment though!

Wow what a year 2020 has been so far! We are truly grateful for the support we have received since opening the doors to Guesthouse by the Lake visitors in May.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary on Monday enjoying a beautiful cheese platter and local Riesling at Denmark Cheese Factory And Ducketts Mill Winery. How lucky are we to have such a wonderful venue on our doorstep open in a public holiday!

Good morning from Denmark! A beautiful walk around the Mokare Walk Trail from the River mouth end to town & back. Beautiful natural bush, all fresh with rain & mini waterfalls filling the river.

Definitely worth a visit when you are next town!

Visiting Denmark soon? Be sure to enjoy a trip out to Denmark Farmhouse Cheese. Amazing selection of cheeses and accompaniments which you can top off with some local wine!

We enjoyed lunch there recently in the garden and “oohed” and “aahed” at each platter that was served! We enjoyed our menu options too of course and can’t wait to be go back for more!

About a 15 min drive for guests staying at Guesthouse by the Lake out along Scotsdale Rd.

Sneak peak inside one of the well hidden rooms at the cheese factory! These babies hide inside for months and sometimes years before we crack them open. Unfortunately we can't actually do tours of the cheese making facilities because it is all done in a sterile environment, but when the cheese maker is in you can have a peak through the window and see what he is up to!

We had a lovely dinner at Ajar on Shadforth last night. We had oysters shucked by Jerry Fraser - King of Oysters. Beautiful!

Woohoo! Award winning cheeses! Right here in Denmark! We just got our Dairy Industry Award notes and we did great across the board with soft and hard cheeses. This is definitely one of our favourites though 😁 yum yum

Rockcliffe and Rising Star Wines 😍

They just over the hill from House On The Lake Denmark so only a couple of minutes drive or if your really keen you can mountain bike or walk!

Checkout their cellar door opening times and pay them a visit. **Availability of tastings will be dependent upon restrictions in place when you visit.**
