Love watching the water movement reflect up onto the rocks.
Stony Creek is just on the edge of Lorne and has a short little walk to a lily pond through some beautiful bush (and a secret fairy garden to the side for the little ones). But if the water is low enough you can clamber up the rock slide that goes into the lily pond and wander the creek a bit further. There you’ll find many new favourite spots to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature around you - the bubbling creek, the chatter of wrens and thornbills, maybe a lizard or two scampering away. #stonycreekwalk #otwayranges #lorne #otwayadventures

We recently gave our GoPro to a couple of trail builders working on the project and they took it down the new trail Steam Donkey. We think this trail will be the pick of the bunch for experienced riders - but it is possible to roll everything on the trail given the jumps are all tabletops - it’s rated 💙. #rideforrest #forrestmtbclub

Amy’s Gran Fondo 2022 🚴 was a cracker of a loop… 130km of the Otways and Great Ocean Road on closed, sealed roads. 😍
A lot of gravel grinds went into the preparation for this event over the last few months - I’m not a road rider generally - I like singletrack and gravel! I don’t like playing with cars but if you are going to let me ride the GOR without cars, I’m going to sign up! 🥳
The good news is if you are not a rider you can just get in your car and drive this wonderful scenery from the comfort of your 🚗 There is not a place on this loop that is not picturesque. Climbing up through the tall trees and ferns out of Lorne, to the rolling green hills of the hinterland around Deans Marsh, through my home of Forrest, back into the temperate rainforest up to Mt Sabine, down to Skenes and then the breathtaking Great Ocean Road itself. What a region to live in, I am still in love with this place since my first visit to Apollo Bay in the early 90s. ❤️
