It was a rockin' weekend at the Gold Coast Show!

We enjoyed the rides, show bags, entertainment, hanging out with friends, and most of all, learning to be an independent adult.

We love learning valuable skills to enjoy a healthy, fulfilling, active, and social lifestyle 👏

On Friday night we celebrated Jayda’s 18th birthday 😍

If anyone knows Jayda, they know that her birthday is her absolute favourite day of the year. Jayda is keen to sing happy birthday every single day, and she LOVES talking about her birthday, so when the real thing comes around it’s a very special day. Happy 18th birthday beautiful girl 🎂 🎉 🥳

Congratulations to all of our runners who ran in the Gold Coast Marathon at the weekend!

Debbie ran a half marathon, Jo ran a 10k, and Isaac ran a 5k 🙌 special shout out to Jackson who also took part, and other Specialcise attendees.

Short Term Accommodation = time for growing our independence 😍🤩🥳

We had an awesome time at our recent STA. The girls enhanced their independent living skills and did a great job of learning how to take care of themselves. From cooking, to cleaning, to engaging in the community, everyone really took those big steps towards an independent lifestyle. We also attended Cooly Rocks On festival and made special memories with our friends 🙌

We're so glad everyone had a rewarding experience.

Howdy Y'all! 🤠

We had a rockin' good time at our Country Western Disco... YEEHAW!

We partied like true cowboys n' cowgirls, and we got into the Wild West spirit.

As always, our discos are an amazing opportunity to connect with friends, build lasting friendships, increase our confidence and get up and perform karaoke. When we sing our favourite songs at karaoke it's our chance to use our beautiful voices to be heard and seen 🫶

Team Work makes the Dream Work. We are having so much fun helping 10 Cent Tom achieve his dream of one day having his own recycling centre that employees people with Disabilities.

A huge thanks to all my supporters that have warmly welcomed our 10 Cent Tom work experience participants that are completing their School Leaver Employment Supports with one of the Gold Coasts most popular disability services and support organisation Specialcise Central ❤️

Thanks to the public that have reached out to donate their bottles and cans to my charity, the more bottles and cans we collect/receive means more opportunities for inclusion of other people like me with a disability 👍
