From 1 December 2021, fully vaccinated eligible visa holders can come to Australia without needing to apply for a travel exemption.

Eligible visa holders include skilled and student cohorts, as well as humanitarian, working holiday maker and provisional family visa holders.

Under these arrangements, travellers must:
• Be fully vaccinated with a completed dosage of a vaccine approved or recognised by Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)
• Hold a valid visa for one of the eligible visa subclasses
• Provide proof of their vaccination status
• Present a negative COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test taken within three days of departure.

Travellers to Australia must comply with the quarantine requirements in the state or territory of their arrival, and any other state or territory to which they plan to travel.

COVID-19 restrictions will lift at Queensland cafés, restaurants, pubs, clubs, nightclubs, hotels and music venues if all patrons and staff are fully vaccinated.

The measures take effect from 17 December or once the state reaches 80% of eligible Queenslanders fully vaccinated.

This pandemic has been a long road for Queenslanders, and businesses have worked hard to keep us safe and stay open.

Lifting restrictions for the fully vaccinated means a big boost to our economy so go out and get vaccinated today 💪

BREAKING: Masks will no longer be required when 80% of eligible Queenslanders have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine 😷😁

That means no masks indoors including schools, cafés, pubs, clubs, hairdressers and workplaces.

Masks will only be needed at airports and on planes, in line with federal rules.

The change will take effect as soon as the 80% milestone is reached and will apply across the state.

Queenslanders have done an incredible job all through the pandemic – the more of us vaccinated, the faster we can return to life the way it used to be.

Many people wonder why it’s so expensive to fly in and around Australia 🇦🇺

I think the correct question to ask is:
