As a mother of seven (four have left the nest, and three are primary school aged), I understand better than anyone the level of trust required to leave your child in the care of another person. For more than 20 years as a Child Care Centre Director and NCAC Validator, I welcomed thousands of children into my arms, reassuring intrepid mums and dads that while in my care, their children would receiv
e the best care possible. Their need to feel nurtured and secure, their need to be attended to and supervised, their need to speak and be heard, their need to explore, play and learn. I also understand you and your need to find a child carer that's trustworthy, patient and kind, a person who you can rely on to put your child first. I visit every client prior to the first sitting, just to get to know you a little, to meet your child and to make sure that you feel comfortable with me and with our arrangements. There is a minimum care time of three hours with a maximum of 3 children per booking. The care takes place in your home, where your child feels most comfortable. Please don't fret about dishes in the sink or toys on the floor or untidy rooms - I'm not worried about that, and if your child is having a nap, I'm happy to do a little tidying up or put on a load of washing. I have a safe, reliable vehicle and only with your permission, I can take children to the park or other fun places for some outdoor adventures. I can also do drop offs and pick ups from daycare or school. I'm experienced with infant care, so nappy changes, preparation of bottles and formula or EBM is no problem. I'll bring some age appropriate activities with me for your child to enjoy. I'll work in with your routine for feeding and naps and even send you updates and happy snaps during your care time so you can feel relaxed while you're out. I'll give you my enrolment form, and will help you fill in all the details when we initially meet. It's so that I know all about your child's needs, likes and dislikes, emergency contact numbers, medical needs etc. when I arrive for your care session and we'll have a smooth transition, allowing you to leave feeling confidant that your child is in good hands. My care fees are as follows:
$17/hour single child (minimum 3 hours care)
$22/hour two children (minimum 3 hours care)
$27/hour three children (minimum 3 hours care)
If you would like a permanent weekly arrangement, we will discuss a discount on fees. (Permanent - the same time each weeks for a minimum 6 week period). Ipswich area only. Travel outside 15 minutes from Churchill, Ipswich will incur a travel fee of 50c/klm extra. Excursions to paid events (cinema, show, play centre etc.) will be charged at cost price for the child/children as well as myself to attend. I'm available for bookings from 6 am - 12 midnight, every day. Every Sunday evening I'll post my availability on this FB page and bookings are accepted on a 'first booked and paid' basis, with the exception of permanent bookings which receive priority. Until your booking is paid, either with paypal or bank transfer (please message me the payment receipt if the booking is less than 3 days away), the booking is tentative. When payment is received it will show as confirmed on the availability post. All families are issued with an ID code name at our first meeting. This allows your identity to remain confidential on displayed posts. With every care session I include age appropriate art/craft activities, story time, dress ups, construction, outdoor activities and more! I am babysitter insured, suitable to work with children, and have completed multiple first aid and resuscitation courses.
