Barossa Regional Gallery Conversations with my Father Exhibition by Alan Todd.
When artist Alan Todd’s father died aged 99, they had lived on opposite sides of the world for fifty years. The only conversations they’d had were by phone and often limited to only a few sentences.
Most of Todd’s life as an artist was unknown to his father. Art was never mentioned.
This exhibition is a collection of paintings deriving from moments in Todd’s life over a year. The conversations they never had.
Exhibition runs from 7 February to 8 April during gallery opening hours.
