RS2? Quattro? R8? You really are spoiled for choice when it comes to Audi’s back catalogue of motoring icons.

We love the classic Audi 100, a refined saloon launched in 1968 that helped establish Audi as a serious contender in the executive car market.

Just over a decade later, in 1980, the Audi Quattro arrived. Featuring Audi’s quattro technology, it offered enormous power and unparalleled handling in all conditions.

Then came the thunderous Audi RS2 in 1994. This family estate with a 2.2-litre turbocharged engine was faster than a Formula 1 car up to 30mph! 😲

At the end of that decade we had the revolutionary Audi TT. With its retro-futuristic shape and accessibility, it was a blast to drive and helped rejuvenate Audi’s brand image as the millennium dawned.

Yet nothing compares to the Audi R8, which arrived in 2006. The R8 quickly became the posterboy for Audi’s engineering prowess over the 18 years it was in production. The noise on our R8 V10 Spyder is just sensational!

What’s your favourite Audi legend? Let us know in the comments! 👇

The Festival of Speed is back – and there really is no motoring event quite like it!

Goodwood’s famous motoring celebration returns in July this year with the theme ‘Horseless to Hybrid – Revolutions in Power’.

This is a spirited celebration marking 130 years since the world’s first motor race.

This means the focus will be on the technological advances that have given us modern racing, as well as a look at where we may go in the future.

Additionally we will see celebrations of other significant anniversaries, including 100 years of the iconic British marque MG and the 75th birthday of the late Niki Lauda.

Will we see you there this summer? Let us know in the comments! 👇

Vorsprung durch Technik. Three words that conjure up a feeling that’s rather difficult to describe.

It’s the same feeling I get when driving our Audi R8 V10 Spyder – elegant and agile, but with a thunderous sound and power to match.

Audi has long been one of my favourite marques for its ability to match style, innovation and power with superior craftsmanship.

From its humble beginnings to its iconic logo, I’ve explored the fascinating history of Audi over on our blog.

For many, the word Napoleon may conjure up images of great naval battles… but for me it’s more about great driving roads!

In the south of France, the iconic Route Napoléon is a legend among supercar drivers and is easily one of my favourite driving roads of all time.

Taking you from Golfe-Juan to Grenoble, through some of the finest scenery in and around Provence, there are few roads that compare to its ease, fun and beauty.

As we prepare to depart on our Le Grand Tour Provence tour this week, I’ve shared more of my thoughts on Route Napoléon over on our blog - https://www.ultimatedrivingtours.com/route-napoleon/

Jenson, Luigi, Hans, Augie, Roxy, Franz, James… the legendary supercars in our epic fleet all have their own affectionate nicknames.

Our Aston Martin DB11 is named James for its 007 connection. Our Chevrolet Corvette C8 was christened Roxy by our Facebook community. Our Ferrari 488 is called Luigi, but nobody knows why…

Even our three-car transport trailers are known as The Terrys. Whenever a new car arrives, it quickly becomes part of the family.

The word you’re looking for is ‘phwoooar’! 😍 This is our gorgeous Mercedes AMG GT R in action in the stunning Swiss Alps.

The daddy of AMG’s exemplary GT range, the R is an aggressive beast, but one that’s at the peak of handling, performance, style and attitude.

With its super-tuned V8 engine and superb aerodynamics, it’s a joy to control, whether blitzing around a track or cruising the finest driving roads in Europe.

It makes for an epic member of our supercar fleet and is always a favourite with our guests and crew.

Which iconic family sedan can outrun both a Ferrari and Lamborghini? Here’s a clue… 🔨

The Hammer was AMG’s nineties powerhouse and became an instant classic. Also known as the 300 CE 6.0, The Hammer was a modified W124 sedan featuring an immense 6.0-liter V8 engine that produced 335 hp, reaching 60 mph from a standstill in just five seconds.

The hottest passenger sedan in history was faster than the Countachs and Testarossas of the era – a true legend that pounded everything else flat. Hammer by name, hammer by nature!

Have you ever experienced The Hammer in person? Let us know in the comments!👇

Say cheese! 🧀 Seriously, this is the best place to do it…

This is the dedicated cheese room at The Chedi, the ultra-luxe hotel in the heart of the Swiss Alps. After a two-Michelin-starred dinner at the hotel’s renowned Japanese restaurant, you can slide into the cheese room to select from a plethora of locally farmed cheeses that always hit the right spot.

Along with an astonishingly good spa, first-class service and one of Switzerland’s biggest wine and sake collections, The Chedi has so much going for it. It’s why we include two nights here on our Swiss Supercar Tour. Join us this year – Gouda times await! 🧀

Around 290,000 man-hours – that’s how much work goes into building the Albert Park track each season!

For most of the year, this sundrenched parkland is the place to visit for walking, running, relaxing and golfing, yet from mid-February, work begins on converting the park into the home of Australian F1!

We absolutely adore the party atmosphere and exhilarating action at Albert Park, and are thrilled that Formula 1 will stay here at least until 2035.

The abbreviation is synonymous with Mercedes’ high-performance cars, but do you actually know what AMG stands for?

It simply refers to ‘Aufrecht, Melcher, Großaspach’, after the founders Hans Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher, as well as the German village of Großaspach – the birthplace of Aufrecht.

It could also stand for ‘Astounding Motoring Geniuses’ or something just as appropriate because the engines produced by the Mercedes-Benz subsidiary are out of this world.

This brings us to the question – what’s your favourite AMG car? Let us know in the comments!👇

Which three letters pack the most punch in the world of supercar engines? It’s difficult to argue against A, M and G.

Since 1967, the German engineering firm has been associated with some of the most astounding engines and cars produced in Europe, from the iconic Hammer in the early nineties to the sensational Mercedes AMG ONE from last year.

Then comes the stunning GT series, with the beastly GT R a key part of our epic supercar fleet!

Choosing from 2,000 bottles of wine and Europe’s largest selection of sake is no mean feat! But these are the delicious decisions you must make when dining at The Japanese by The Chedi, the stunning European-Asian restaurant high in the Swiss Alps.

Our trick? Choose a flight board, which allows you to sample multiple wines, sakes or both, all perfectly complementing the two-Michelin-starred cuisine. Itadakimasu!

Lights, casinos and action – the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix was one of our favourite F1 moments last season!

The event certainly had its fair share of chaos in the build up, while the eventual race was nothing short of exhilarating. Watching the event from the comfort of our premium hospitality suite, we enjoyed plenty of street-racing drama and tight passing, not to mention the jaw-dropping speeds along the home straight.

All set against the iconic backdrop of the Las Vegas Strip, it was a sight to behold. Fortunately, we’re heading back this year for the 2024 iteration – are you planning to join us?👇

As the new F1 season approaches, the Australian Grand Prix will be here before you know it – and we can’t wait!

The new season is already shaping up to be hugely exciting, with Red Bull remaining the team to beat. However, both McLaren and Mercedes are keen to return to former glories – and this was evident as the 2023 season concluded.

Of course, you can never write off Ferrari, who claimed the sole non-Red Bull victory last season. Meanwhile, Aston Martin and Alpine will both be keen to take even more points in 2024.

With a packed calendar of 24 races, it’s set to be the biggest F1 season to date – and for us, it truly starts at Albert Park on 24 March. Will you be joining us for the weekend?👇
