My daughter had the opportunity of staying at this beautiful hotel. She Loved everything about it and commented on how wonderful it is to stay in a small boutique hotel where you can actually meet the owner on premise Isabelle. She makes you feel welcome, relaxed and takes care of you every need. I personally can't wait to stay here next time I am in Paris!

The Plaza Elysees is a charming 4-star hotel ideally located on Boulevard Haussmann in the 8th arrondissement, near the Champs Elysées and the Arc de Triomphe.

- Since June 2022 has opened its doors to the public. Your visit will begin on the ground floor, in a diving club, the same one where Henri Cosquer was preparing for his underwater walks. Don’t worry, you won’t have to wear your diving suit or flippers! You will then go down 37 meters below the sea, on board a diving chamber (simulation)!

It is fascinating this close link between past and present, dotted with majestic monuments, offered by the 2000 years of history of Fréjus. Founded by the all-powerful Rome under the will of Julius Caesar, crossed by Siéyès and the French Revolution, a stopover for Napoleon Bonaparte and today in the heart of the world with his Marine Troops. Where did it all begin? At the age of ten, I lived in Versailles for 2 years with my family. Thanks to this experience, I developed my love of the French language and all that France has to offer. Travel was in my blood at an early age and for the past 39 years, my husband Trevor and I have owned and operated Hawthorn Travel and have established ‘France Vacations’ and ‘Barge Vacations’.

Our passion is our profession.

We love creating niche, bespoke travel experiences for our clients. All itineraries are tailor made. Experiential travel is not an ‘off the shelf’ product, there is more to France than ‘Paris to Provence’. We are fortunate to travel extensively in France and beyond and can offer destinations out of the norm.
