When Ian Lumb from On Track Expeditions and myself blazed our way across the Kokoda Track in April 2022, there were many sections overgrown following far less traffic over the preceding two years.
Our presence gave the local population plenty of confidence that in time, we would return with trekkers to help bring the numerous economic benefits to their lives and cultural exchange that they hold so dearly.
And we are back in a big way in 2023.
Game on.

The water 💧 temperature here at the Dump 1 crossing is bloody cold 🥶.

How’s the torrent … !!
Welcome to our village !!
How often do you feel this welcome ?
