Welcome, my name is Elaine Green and I am the owner and operator of Tru Blu Driver Training, and for the past 26 years I have enjoyed teaching the people of Perth how to drive. I teach all age groups and nationalities to become safe and res
ponsible drivers. Your children are the most precious gift and it is my privilege to give them my care and responsibility to achieve a high standard of training. I hold certificate III in motor vehicle driving instruction, Certificate IV work place trainer
Driving instructors Licence, WA Government
“Working with Children” card and Western Australian Drivers Licence. It is important to go through a driving school for a couple of reasons; I have dual controls which you don’t have and I have had countless hours of experience teaching novice drivers. My vehicle is the latest model manual Mitsubishi Lancer which I feel is more beneficial because you can then drive both manual and automatic and it keeps you more alert on the road. I only operate out of the Joondalup Licencing Centre and have a great respect for the Assessors there. I have comprehensive insurance cover with no excess payable by the student. I am a board member of the Australian Driver Trainers Association. ABN Number 94 742 869 305
Parents are very welcome to come on the lessons. If possible I would like 24 hour cancellation notice. SERVICES
I will pick you up from home, school or workplace for your driving lessons and finish back at the same, if you want to go to a different location that’s okay if it’s within the area. You must always carry your learners permit on your lessons as it is illegal not to. On your first lesson, if you have never driven before I will take you to the nearest car park to your place of pickup and show you the how to steer the vehicle and operate the pedals. You will receive structured one hour lessons as often as you like at $60 an hour. Novice drivers, overseas drivers or refresher courses and any age group are all welcome. I start at 6.00am and the last lesson finishes at 6.30pm Monday to Friday (more flexible during summer) and only Saturday Mornings. I have a good knowledge of test locations where you can practice actual driving tests in Joondalup. If you live far away from Joondalup it is a good idea to either catch the train to Joondalup or get dropped off to have your lessons when you are closer to your test to save driving time. I won’t talk on the phone during driving lessons
If I am running late I will give you a courtesy call
You will learn:
General driving practices including dual carriageways, double roundabouts turning right at lights without an arrow and all major and minor roads. Leaving something behind
Parallel parking
Hill parks and hill starts
Freeway driving
And all the driving test locations
I can also arrange the driving test for you and that can be conducted in the driving school car or your own car
I will pick you up one hour before the driving test for a lesson and then we both go to Joondalup Licencing centre ten minutes before the driving test where we wait inside for an Assessor to call your name and then you hand over the following:
- Learners card
- Log book
- Confirmation letter
Then you both go to the car to begin your driving test which takes about 30 to 40 minute
The Assessors want to check the indicators, brake lights and tyres on the vehicle before you leave on your test. On your return you will be told if you have passed or not. If you fail it is compulsory to wait one week before your next driving test. If you pass, you then start filling out the purple pages in your log book with your parents for 6 months in either automatic or manual car and log 25 hours driving time, when this is completed you go to any licencing centre and hand in your log book and sit the hazard perception test and when you pass that you receive your red P plates. Gift vouchers are available
