Raise Foundation - The power of showing up.

Thank you Rebecca Forte for your presentation and how the business community can get behind the Raise Mentoring program at one of our local high schools, Governor Stirling.

Raise will match year eight students with a mentor volunteer for a twenty week program, involving two hours a week.

First hour, the mentor spends time with a designated student. The second hour, the mentor debriefs and develops their skill with a Raise facilitator.

The aim is to give young people the skills to communicate their concerns and life’s challenges as they travel with the mentor during the process.

The mentor is trained and screened to prepare for a student.

It’s often surprising how the mentors receive a huge amount of benefits as well as the students.

Governor Stirling needs another 15 mentors to meet the current need.

Had the pleasure very early this morning to meet with John and Sue who foundered Manaia Netball Club. Based out of Rockingham. So wonderful to talk to them and also see the fruits of seeds planted 10 years ago 🌱🍎🎉🏐

It is very encouraging to hear there vision and know there values align with ours and with love and commitment dreams can come true😇

Also met with some beautiful people and youngsters who are part of this club and dear I say community.
Bringing family and sport together.
And I forgot to take a picture of the fabulous food served.
