Escape the relentless (over 40C) heat of Adelaide/Melbourne with a short stay here in Robe. It's been absolutely refreshing to come down here for the weekend (cool, balmy nights and warm, sunny days) after putting up with temps in the 40s in Adelaide this week. Its always several degrees cooler in the daytime and perfect at nighttime here in the summer.

Heaps of birdlife around Robe. Not sure what type of bird this is but it certainly wasn't bothered at all by being close to people

What a fantastic weekend in Robe this week. Weather is perfect and the colour of the sea just has to be seen to be believed. Yesterday we had a great walk along the coast into Robe to checkout the caravan and boat show at the Marina. Plenty of great fishing boats on offer!

The recent storms have had their impact on our BBQ. We lost the cover leaving it exposed to the elements - it doesn't take long for the rust to set in in such an exposed environment.

We are hard at work this long weekend getting our great holiday home ready for rental. Hope to find time for a nice walk along the coast to our favourite coffee shop (Union Cafe) at some point though!
