Lake Mansarovar is one of the highest fresh water lake in the world at 4,950m (15,000 ft) above sea level. It is one of the purest and cleanest lake as there is no pollution, no dust, so the air is very clear. The water is so transparent that you can see through the water up to the depth of 14 meters.
The lake has a spiritual and religious significance to the Buddhism, Bon religion, Jain and Hinduism. The lake that is 88 km in circumference and surrounded by several Tibetan Buddhist monasteries.
The lake of purity comes with its own charm and many travellers have had their own personal observation and experience coming in touch with the lake. Highly recommended for a meditative and spiritual experience.
