Built in 2018, Golden Bridge located about 20km away from Da Nang has become an instagrammable attraction for many visitors.

It's 150m long and sits around 1400m from the ground level. To reach the bridge, you will take the cable car located at Ba Na Hills.

A visit during the sunrise and sunset allows you to capture breathtaking scenery.

The Thar Desert, also known as “Great Indian Desert” covers around a large area of 200,000km2 spread over India and Pakistan. About 85% of the Thar Desert is in India, and rest is in Pakistan.

Traditional and unique to Sri Lanka, you may witness these fishermen scattered along some parts of the south coast line. This special art of fishing dates back to World War II.

According to stilt fishermen, this art requires a lot of patience and endurance. The first lesson is to strike a balance while sitting on the narrow wooden plank. Then the process requires several hours of waiting in silence to catch the product.

When you visit Sri Lanka, take some photographic memories of this beautiful scenery. This has become a dying tradition and please note some fishermen may ask for some spare change when taking these photos which will contribute towards their daily living!

Myanmar may be out of reach at the moment due to the current situation in the country. If you want to experience what Asia was like 30 years ago, this is the county to visit.

This is Bagan located in Myanmar, being nominated as an UNESCO heritage site in 2019. Bagan was the Kingdom of Pagan empire between the 9th and the 13th centuries.

Over this period, it is believed around 10000 temples were built by the empire. Due to invasion, earthquakes and other natural affects only around 2000 temples exist today. Spread across a vast area of over 100km², it is a must see attraction when you visit Myanmar.

If you are travelling in a Tuk Tuk for the first time, you will feel the thrill, slight fear and a lot of fun.

Many locals in Sri Lanka uses this mode of transport to get from place to place.

Lately tourists who visit Sri Lanka have also started hiring a tuk tuk and driving themselves to explore the island. It is a slow mode of transport but great if you are not in a rush and on a budget.

It is estimated there are less than 800 of Leopards exist in Sri Lanka.

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is the world’s longest navigable underground river that flows directly underneath the St Paul Mountain Range in Philippines. It is located in Palawan, north of Puerto Princesa near the seaside village of Sabang.

The river system was created millions of years ago as water channelled its way through the rock creating a series of vast chambers and caves. The cave system stretches for a total of 24km beneath the mountains.

Visitors can explore a smaller portion (approximately 4km) – entering the cave from the point where the underground river reaches the sea.

Often addressed by the cute name “Pondi”, and called the “Little France of India”, this is Pondicherry located about 3 hours away from the capital of Tamil Nadu, Chennai.

A former French colony built in the 17th century as a trading port, today you can see the remnants of French buildings, little cafes infused with French cuisine and a few ancestors from the past.

The town has a French Quarter and a Tamil Quarter where you can witness different architecture. Some of these are now converted as guest houses or cafes giving the place a chic vibe.

It is a place where people live in harmony and also home to the famous “Auroville”.
Be sure to include this in your itinerary during your trip to “South India”.
