โœ… Nominations submitted prior to July 1, 2024, and existing visa holders will not be affected by this change.
To guarantee compliance with the new TSMIT, employers and skilled workers must review their wage packages and visa requirements.

Breaking news!! ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ

The Adelaide City DAMA and the SA Regional DAMA, which are South Australiaโ€™s two Designated Area Migration Agreements (DAMAs), have been expanded and renewed. ๐ŸคŒ

The DAMA Regional SA now includes 128 new vocations, including those in the construction and trade, agribusiness, ICT, health, education and renewable energy sectors.
The SA Regional DAMA now has a higher annual nomination limit (increased from 750 to 2,000 nomination positions annually), and both DAMAs have been extended until June 30, 2025.
In both DAMAs, the route to permanent residence has been preserved for all visa holders.
Alongside these concessions, South Australia's has maintained its age restriction of 55 years, a 10% decrease in the Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT) and concessions for work experience and English.

See the SA Australian migration website for more information.

14/04/2024

Effective immediately, the Government of New South Wales
has declared a significant change to the nomination conditions for the subclass 491 Pathway 1 regional skilled work visa.

In the past, applicants had to have resided and worked for a single regional employer for at least one year in a defined regional area of โ€‹โ€‹New South Wales. Based on feedback from the sector, this period has now been reduced to six months. By making the pipeline more accessible to skilled people in regional New South Wales, this modification hopes to promote local economic growth and regional development. The shorter period of employment and the remaining requirements, which include working for a single regional employer, having a relevant occupation and earning the TSMIT salary level, are the key modifications.

The NSW Government's aim to support regional NSW by recruiting skilled labor and promoting economic growth and diversity is reflected in this change.

Labor agreements allow some Australian businesses to hire skilled foreign workers. This is done when the employers can show that there is a specific need for particular skills that cannot be met by local Australian job seekers. A labor agreement provides these businesses with an additional way to hire workers if the normal temporary or permanent visa procedures are unable to meet their demands.

In the event that the normal temporary or permanent visa procedures are unable to handle this situation, a labor agreement provides these organizations with a way to bring in the individuals they need.

Here is the most recent list of labor agreements ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป

Expanding the temporary skilled sponsored workers' road to permanent residency โ€ผ๏ธ

Beginning November 25, 2023 (subject to the adoption of regulatory modifications), the Australian government will be implementing changes to the Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) (subclass 186), Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) (subclass 482) and Temporary Residence Transition (TRT) stream visas. Giving TSS visa holders a simpler and more direct route to permanent residency is the aim of these modifications.

Companies and holders of TSS visas will have more confidence thanks to the revisions, which will ensure that Australia recruits and retains the talented workers it needs.

2. Make advance plans: Get a bank account, a visa, and housing in advance.
3. Accept change: React well to novel situations and culture shock.

Consider traveling alone to apply for an Australian visa?
Self-application has a lot going for it, but there are hazards that need to be considered as well. This is one of many cases that we've addressed.

Here are five reasons why going without a migration agent may not be the best course of action:

1 - Application Form Accuracy Is Important: Visa applications for Australia demand a lot of documents. A single error or omission can lead to rejection. Working with a knowledgeable relocation agent will help you avoid these potential problems.

2 - Complying with Frequently Changing Regulations: Visa requirements can vary. It might be challenging to stay on top of the most recent regulations. Agents are familiar with the continuously shifting environment of visas and can make sure that your application complies with all applicable regulations.

3 - Important paperwork is missing. If this is the case, your application may be refused altogether. Agents are equipped with the skills to identify and gather the required documentation, ensuring that no crucial information is overlooked.

4 - Specific Guidance: Every visa application is unique. Agents provide specialized advice based on your particular circumstance in order to increase your chances of success.

5 - Avoiding Pricey Mistakes: Mistakes can be costly, both financially and in terms of time. With the support of agents, you may prevent mistakes and preserve your money and objectives.

If you want to succeed in getting an Australian visa, having a knowledgeable partner at your side can make the difference.

For expert guidance and a less strenuous visa application process, contact us right now.

NSW will now place more emphasis on priority sectors than on lists of skilled occupations.

In order to address the changing skills shortages in the state, NSW is moving away from presenting a list of qualified ANZSCO unit groupings and toward a new sector-focused strategy. The focus will now be on priority industries that require qualified personnel rather than specific unit groups.

GOOD NEWS!

A memorandum of understanding (MOU) on creating a "Work and Holiday" visa arrangement has been signed by Australia and the Philippines.
This agreement, according to Malacaang, will enable citizens of both nations to look for work while traveling to help pay for their expenses.
Both nations agreed to award multiple entry visas allowing their people to work during their stay for a non-extendable term of not more than one year.

The visa program is open to Australian and Filipino nationals who are 18 to 31 years old, have completed at least two years of undergraduate or post-secondary study, have graduated from a tertiary institution, have met all other necessary health, character, and national security requirements, and have medical and health insurance for the duration of their stay.

โ€ผ๏ธAttention International Students โ€ผ๏ธ

If you're looking to apply for a student visa, you must take into account this additional criterion.

International students will need to show proof of savings totaling $24,505 as of October 1, 2023, a 17% increase from the prerequisites in effect now.

By making this change, it will be ensured that international students who come to Australia to pursue their education can support themselves and won't be more likely to be taken advantage of due to a desperate need for work.
