The Government has officially announced what it plans for the Temporary Graduate visa program.

The changes are expected to come into from 1 July 2024, subject to the approval of legislative changes.

Graduate Work Stream
The Graduate Work Stream will be renamed to:
⭐️ Post-Vocational Education Work stream.

The maximum eligible age for applicants will be reduced to 35 years of age or younger. Applicants must hold an associate degree, diploma or trade qualification, closely related to their occupation named on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL).

Candidates with higher level qualifications will no longer be eligible for this stream. If the candidate holds one of these qualifications, they must apply via the Post-Higher Education Work stream

This visa will last for 18 months.
Post-Study Work stream

The Post-Study Work stream will be renamed to:
⭐️ Post-Higher Education Work stream.

The maximum eligible age for candidates will be reduced to 35 years of age.

With the following durations:
*Bachelor degree (including honors) – up to 2 years
*Masters (coursework and extended) – up to 2 years
*Masters (research) and doctoral degree (PhD) – up to 3 years

🇦🇺 The government has not released additional information to date. However, we can now say that the change is official.
