As per Air Transportation Circular: FSR-06/2021 by Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) on dated: 05-Jul-2021,
please consider travel restriction with immediate effective until further notice.
Group of Countries:
Group – A Group – B Group – C
Botswana, India, Mongolia,
Namibia, Nepal, Panama, South
Africa & Tunisia
Argentina, Brazil, Colombia,
Costa Rica, Georgia, Kuwait,
Malaysia, Maldives, Oman, UAE,
UK & Uruguay
All other countries except Group
– A & B
Instruction for Group – A countries:
- No arrival allowed from this countries (India and rest) except special approval / authorization from the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh.
Instruction for Group – B countries:
- All arrival passengers from these countries required PCR based COVID-19 negative test certificate within 72
hour valid of departure.
- Pre-paid 14 days (Fourteen) institutional quarantine upon arrival at government nominated hotels on
passengers own cost for Oman, UAE, Malaysia & rest countries.
- Passengers already have completed dose (Double/Single dose as appropriate) of COVID-19 vaccination will
have to complete 14 (fourteen) days strict home quarantine. However, if any COVID-19 symptoms are
detected/observed on arrival, he/she shall be sent to the Government Authorized Hospital for further check-
up or depending on the nature/intensity of the symptoms, will be sent to isolation at government nominated
facilities or Hotel at passenger’s own expenses.
- During institutional quarantine, medical test will be carried out. The passenger will be released if the medical
test report is satisfactory. If not then passenger shall go for isolation at government nominated facilities at
own expenses or continue with the institutional quarantine.
Instruction for Group – C countries:
- All arrival passengers allowed from these countries (Singapore, Qatar, China and rest). Passengers shall go
for mandatory 14 days (fourteen) strict home quarantine. No need any hotel booking. Upon the arrival,
health inspection may consider passenger to send to the government hospitals for further check-up or
depending on the nature / intensity of the symptoms, will be sent to isolation at government facilities at
passengers own expenses.
- PCR based COVID-19 negative test certificate within 72 hour valid of departure from these countries
Departure from Bangladesh:
There is no restriction on the outgoing passengers to the countries of any group. However, passengers shall
also follow the latest restrictions or requirements imposed by the transit/destination country(s).
Exemptions:
- Child under 10 years do not required Covid-19 test certificate traveling to Bangladesh
- Diplomats and their family members arriving in Bangladesh shall be decided home / institutional quarantine
by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh.
