If you have not visited the Interactive Industry Museum in Gabrovo, we would advise you to do so at the first convenient occasion. It may sound boring, but we are sure the visit will make you laugh. Three virtual floors of the museum welcome you to a virtual guide. A beautiful lady dressed in typical clothes of the era will tell you interesting facts about the industrialization of the city with more than a hundred factories from the 19th century, socialism, and modernity. On the lower floor, in the basement, you can also watch a 3D movie about the sights of Gabrovo and the region. Each of the lectures takes about 6-10 minutes, and there are other surprises in the museum. But let’s start with industrialization. In fact, it is the period of the glorious past of Gabrovo, which is not accidentally called the Bulgarian Manchester because of its over 160 factories and entrepreneurship of its inhabitants. Among the most famous were the textile ones, which retained their fame through socialism, albeit united. But that’s on the next floor. The virtual guides can tell you the history of Gabrovo in Bulgarian, Russian and English.
