I posted in 26 March 2020, All museums around the world are almost closed off course as well as temples and sites, and I saw all the museums did something very good for all of us to visit museums from our home by «virtual museum and art gallery tours» but unfortunately I didn’t find the Egyptian museum of Cairo, the mother of all Museums in «Egyptology» . . So I decided to do something like that but by photos, I will try to give you an image of rooms and corridors of Egyptian museum as well as information of Egyptian artifacts. I think it will be a Primitive way to show the museum comparison to other museums but I’ll try as much as I can, maybe it will look like all posts I normally do but we’ll see, anyway I really miss the Egyptian museum, I didn’t go for three weeks now, so I really enjoy seeing some picture I took before to the rooms and I want to share it with you so that we all can travel and visit it while we’re staying at home. I will name this group of posts «Home Museum». So I began share photos of artifacts and rooms inside the museum till today. But as all the museums now opened again I need to put all what I posted in one link like a catalogue or album!

The Bent pyramid of Dahshur was built at around 2,600 BC by king Sneferu of the 4th dynasty, who ruled for more or less 30 years and had three pyramids built. The Bent Pyramid is called so for the fact that the angle of its sides shifts suddenly about one-third of the way up from 54 degrees to the more gentle slope of 43 degrees, most likely because of issues of stability because of the structure of the ground it was built on. The bent pyramid is the fourth largest pyramid known to have been built in Egypt. When it was built it was called “Sneferu is shining in the south” because it was covered in polished Tura limestone. Unlike other pyramids, the bent pyramid uniquely has two entries, to the north and the west. After many years of restoration, the bent pyramid was open to visitors in July 2019, for the first time since 1965.
I took this photo of the bent pyramid in January 2020. I was very lucky with the cloudy sky above that gave it the most magical frame.

The tomb is completely in agreement with scenes from the Book of the Doors, the Cabernes, the Skies, the Day, the Amduat, the Dead and more. The ceilings are astronomical that represent the day with its 24 hours and the trip of Nut. There are several representations of the gods Osiris, Nut, Apophis and Nun.
At the end of Corridor H this tomb commissioned with KV12 during construction and once the hole was closed they were decorated with protective representations to purify the problem.
Within the burial chamber have been found remains of 4 sarcophagi. The mummies of the two kings were found in KV35.
