The annual Rhododendron Festival is happening at Royal Botanical Park, Lamperi from 13-14 April. This two-day event celebrates the start of spring and showcases various rhododendron species found in the park. Alongside the flower exhibition, there will be games, and cultural performances including mask dances and traditional Bhutanese music.

The 3-day Haa Spring Festival kicked off in style at Yangthang ground today. His Excellency Lyonpo Gyem Tshering, Minister of MoENR, graced the opening ceremony.
Many other dignitaries joined the festivities, including MPs, National Council members, and local government representatives. Public, visitors, and even tourists enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere.
Previously known as the Summer Festival, Haa's celebration has blossomed into the Spring Festival. This perfectly reflects the season's beauty: peak flower blooms & majestic yaks grazing in the valley. Spring offers uninterrupted festival joy, making Haa a must-visit destination.

Guide to RHODODENDRONS #

Sakteng Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the ten protected areas in Bhutan with an assemblage of rich ecosystem diversity and distinctive culture. It is home to some of the rarest and globally threatened floraand fauna. The area is adorned with diverse ecosystem ranging from warm broadleaved forest to alpine meadows. The Sakteng Wildlife Sanctuary is the only protected area with highest diversity of Rhododendron Species (41 species) in the country. Also three of the four recorded endemic species are found in the park namely;
1. Rhododendron kesangiae
2. Rhododendron bhutanense
3. Rhododendron flinckii
