Fish the annual Barbel Run this September / October from the comfort of our camping houseboat. As the waters of the Okavango River start to drop at the beginning of Spring, the smaller baitfish have to retreat to the deeper, faster flowing channels of the Okavango River. In hot pursuit are the barbel, bream and the feisty tigerfish. You’ll hear the flapping and slapping of fish as they try to duck and dive all the chaos of this feeding frenzy.

You can’t get closer to the action than fishing from our unique camper boat! From just BWP 5600 per night (min stay 3 nights), you and your 3 friends could be fishing the barbel run this September or October on our dedicated fishing safari.

Are you ready for the annual barble (catfish) run?? It's just starting in our backyard, the panhandle of the Okavango Delta, Shakawe. It's a feeding frenzy as the barbel is chased upstream by the tiger fish. This is one of the best times for tiger fishing.

We're truly exited to see the annual flood reach our neck of the woods in Maun. Our dry river bed is slowly filling up, like a bath, from this rain water that fell in the Angolan Highlands in December/ January and had steadily made its way down to Maun, and will continue down the Boteti.
