Our Lorato, part of our Maun Team, loves to travel and her latest trip began with a stay at Shongwe Lookout. She was delighted by the welcoming atmosphere, describing the food as “divine” and the service as “top notch” It was the perfect start to her time at Victoria Falls.

She made her way to the Falls, where the cool mist from the powerful waters provided a refreshing break from the warmth. Even though she’s been to Victoria Falls many times, she says it never feels the same – each visit reveals something new.

Afterward, Lorato strolled through the charming town of Victoria Falls, taking in the sights and reconnecting with the local rhythm. It’s a place that feels both familiar and fresh each time she visits.

Her journey continues to Lenyebi River Lodge in Kasane, where she’s excited to see what’s in store. Safe travels, Lorato – can’t wait to hear about the next chapter!

We’re here on the ground, soaking up the incredible energy of this important day. Both Radio Botswana and Botswana Television are broadcasting live, keeping everyone tuned into the excitement and action as the elections unfold!

The media is also encouraging everyone to stay cool: wear hats, stay hydrated, and keep the spirit of kindness alive by letting the elderly vote first, sparing them from long queues. The atmosphere is absolutely buzzing with excitement and pride!

Today’s hashtag is (meaning “decision” or “to decide”)

Gisela has just returned home, still reflecting on her unforgettable experience in Botswana. Our Erica organised an unforgettable safari experience for our Bird lovers Joke and Pieter on their September trip.

Their itinerary took them to Victoria Falls, Tlouwana, Savute Under Canvas, Sango Safari Camp and Deception Valley Lodge. They were excited to see many birds up close, including a Lilac-breasted Roller catching a mouse, a Grey Hornbill sharing a chameleon, and a Woodpecker with a worm. Amongst all these beautiful bird Species clients spotted a porcupine, hyena, so many lions and a leopard.

Joke and Pieter said the trip was everything they hoped for and more, filling two pages with the bird species they saw. They were full of gratitude to Erica for planning such a thoughtful itinerary.

Our recent guests at Kwando Safaris's Pom Pom Camp and Kwara Camp had an incredible experience, and we wanted to share their feedback along with some of the great images they sent us.

"Thank you for organising such a fantastic safari in the Delta—we loved every minute. Both camps were amazing, and the service was top-notch. We saw everything we hoped for and more.
Starting at Pom Pom was perfect—more casual, with our tent right by the water. Falling asleep to the sounds of animals and hippos was unforgettable. Three nights there was just right. At Kwara, we stayed longer, which gave us more time to explore and get to know the staff.
Pom Pom had great game viewing in camp due to the water, but Kwara had more variety on the drives. Both camps had wonderful staff, but the team at Kwara really stood out!"

Bronwyn’s experience at Machaba Safaris's Ingwe Pan: The camp is tucked inland, away from the busier riverfront, with views of a peaceful pan—the only water source for kilometers. It’s a great spot to pause from game drives and simply enjoy the camp, where wildlife naturally gathers. During Bronwyn’s two-night stay, they spotted lots of animals, including elephants, kudu, nyala, impala, hyenas, warthogs, and an impressive variety of birds—up to 49 species. The camp offers a laid-back, authentic experience with nature unfolding just steps away.

Shelli wrote:
"Thank you for arranging an amazing trip to Zambia! We loved every minute—it felt like living in a nature documentary. The wildlife, scenery, camps, and people were outstanding. South Luangwa blew us away, especially watching a leopard drag an impala up a tree at sunset! Kutali and Kaingo camps were extra special—thanks for suggesting them! We also loved the unique walking safaris, doing six mornings of walks. We’re already thinking about more Classic Zambia camps in the future."

Thank you to Shelli & Jan for sharing, and to Nadine for organising this great itinerary for our guests!

Bronwynn's trip took her to Hwange National Park staying at Machaba Safaris’s Deteema Springs. She shared that the area offers easy access from Victoria Falls and is absolutely beautiful. The lodge is a classic safari-style, with canvas tents overlooking busy springs and grasslands.

Bron has already seen herds of elephants, plains game, plenty of birds (including owls), and even a pride of lions that were quite vocal on their last night.

Activities included morning and afternoon game drives, along with some bush walks. Bron chose the more informative bush walk over the tracking and approach option. One of the highlights was enjoying sundowners while a large buffalo herd passed by.

Our very own Bronwyn is currently on a Zimbabwe trip and started her adventure at Wild Horizons's The Wallow.

In her own words, she describes The Wallow as a charming, newer sister camp to The Elephant Camp, located about 20 minutes outside of Victoria Falls, where you can spot elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and plenty of antelope roaming freely.

It’s an all-inclusive lodge offering a range of activities, including game drives, guided tours of Victoria Falls, sundowners at Batoka Gorge, sunset cruises, visits to the Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust, and cultural tours.

Bronwyn also had the chance to visit the majestic Victoria Falls herself, rounding out what has already been a fantastic trip!

We are thrilled to share the wonderful feedback we received from our guests Tiffany and Marc. A huge thank you to Nadine for planning their memorable journey, and to Tiffany and Marc for sharing such stunning photos and their amazing experiences. It’s always a pleasure to share excellent guest feedback with our audience, and we’re so happy they had an unforgettable adventure!

Here’s what Tiffany had to say about their safari:

"Thank you for helping us plan our first trip to Africa and safari. The trip was incredible, and everything ran smoothly, from the transfers to the fantastic service at each camp. Our favorite camp was Selinda Explorer’s Camp for its style, location, and wildlife, while our favorite guide was Kevin at Chobe Elephant Camp. We had unforgettable experiences, including seeing three different leopards in Kwara, as well as hyena cubs, which were the cutest!

We’re already thinking about our next trip to Africa! Thank you again!"

Our Story

Botswana is our home and African safaris are our passion.

Our job (if you can call it that) is exploring the bush. We know Botswana inside out because we've seen it by boat, plane, 4x4, mokoro and even aboard the odd helicopter! Nothing excites us more than matching your wish-list and budget to a personalized, tailor-made experience. We make sure your African safari is perfect because that’s what we love (and live) to do. We can also go beyond Botswana – to Cape Town, Victoria Falls, Hwange and even East Africa – because we’re Safari Specialists, first and foremost.

We live in Maun (Botswana's biggest safari town) and we'll meet you when you get off the plane on your way to the Chobe, Okavango Delta or Kalahari. Whatever you need while travelling, we'll be at your doorstep ready to help.
