Our team is visiting the Boteti Area this weekend. They started at Boteti River Camp and shared some beautiful images. They witnessed large groups of zebras and elephants in the Boteti River.

Bush Delecacies
Our colleagues came from incredible educationals, and we can't stop thinking about the amazing food they had! From delicious breakfasts to brunches, lunches, high tea, and dinner, every meal seemed like a feast. The chefs out there are truly talented, whipping up gourmet dishes even in the middle of the bush. Some meals were even prepared on an open fire, adding a special touch to the experience. It's amazing how quickly one can gain 'happy kilos' on a trip like this! If you're ever on a safari, make sure to savor every bite—it’s another unforgettable treat on an already spectacular adventure!

Kwando Safaris water levels are rising across camps, enhancing mokoro and water activities. Multiple African wild dog dens have been spotted, with Pom Pom boasting 16 puppies just 3km from camp.

🐾 𝗢𝗸𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗼 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 🐾

MMA & RRA DINARE share three African wild dog dens made by the resident pack, but no pups are visible just yet. Water levels continue to rise and mokoro trips are taking place.

KWARA year-round water activities are underway. The water from the lagoon in front of camp is now adjacent to the main area, and mokoro activities are departing from camp.

SPLASH mokoro and boating activities continue, as they do throughout the year. Fishing has been very productive at our usual spot! The team is still looking for a suspected den in the swampy area south of camp — stay tuned to our social media for updates.

4 RIVERS water levels are rising daily, and the nearby floodplains are filled with fresh floodwaters. Since opening camp a year ago, we have been able to offer year-round mokoro.

POM POM is home to a den with 14 African wild dogs and 16 precious puppies — just 3km from camp! Mokoro trips are underway and we are waiting for the water levels to rise more before beginning boat activities.

LAGOON has water flowing in front of camp. Water levels are not deep enough for boat cruises, but the Kwando River floodplains are producing some amazing sightings right in front of the rooms.

LEBALA does not offer water activities, but due to shifts in the water table, there is more than the usual amount of water near the camp, making for some spectacular scenery.

MOREMI CROSSING guides and trackers located an African wild dog den, home to puppies, too! Mokoro and walking activities are also available, but boating is still on pause as we wait for the water levels to rise.

Botswana delivers once again for our guests' honeymoon! A big thank you to Nadine for planning this incredible safari for Josh and Ali. The stars aligned for their unforgettable honeymoon, where they experienced The Royal Livingstone Victoria Falls Zambia Hotel by Anantara, Natural Selection's Tuludi and Machaba Safaris's Kiri Camp.

Among the highlights was observing spotted hyenas and enjoying a beautiful sunrise with playful baby hyenas, despite the cold morning temperatures. Their amazing honeymoon was rounded off in style with a helicopter flight out of Kiri Camp.

Bamba Tram

A Dream Honeymoon Adventure: Josh & Alli's Safari Journey

Our honeymooners, Josh & Alli couldn’t have been happier with their safari that took them to The Royal Livingstone Hotel in Zambia, Natural Selection’s Tuludi, and The Machaba Safaris Kiri Camp – ending in style with a helicopter flight to Maun where they were met by our Lorato – happy faces and big smiles everywhere.

Game viewing has been incredible during their time in the Okavango Delta with leopards, plenty of lions including a sight to remember of lions hunting a warthog, hyenas, herds of elephants amongst other special sightings. Both Tuludi & Kiri made them feel very special, and they are looking forward to “reliving” their honeymoon in the future to explore more of what Botswana has to offer.

Private mobile safaris give you the opportunity to customise your safari and slow the pace to allow for quality photography time. Guests Udo and Astrid captured the most amazing action like this epic struggle between lion, wildebeest and wild dog and so much more on their recent April safari.
On their 3rd safari with Safari Life Africa, they returned to the Moremi /Khwai area as well as venturing off the beaten track through the Savuti and Ngohatsaa areas of Chobe National Park (far from the busier Chobe River area). In prior years they have also explored the Kalahari in depth with the same guide, a little earlier in March to take advantage of the green season. Who knows where their next trip may take them!

Over the weekend, TT embarked on an educational to Kwando Safaris' Kwara & Four Rivers Camps (with a quick visit to Splash).

First hand experience is what we are about, we only offer camps we have seen personally. This time the lucky winner was our TT (Thatayone) who embarked on a trip to explore the Kwara Private Reserve, one of the largest private concessions in Botswana.

He returned with commendable feedback and stunning images. Both camps provided exceptional wildlife encounters: TT witnessed hyenas, wild dogs, lions, elephants, and lots of plains game such as zebras, giraffes and impalas, among others.

Additionally, there was the exhilarating sighting of a warthog chasing a wild dog, adding a playful touch to the experience. TT also indulged in boating activities, relishing the sights of birds and hippos, all while enjoying the spectacular sunsets accompanied by the refreshing taste of the Okavango Gin on hand.

When we break away from our safari desks, even for a quick drive to the airport to meet & greet our guests mid-safari, our "alpha male" - affectionately dubbed our "meerkat whisperer" - emerges from the office to meet Erin, who has just returned from her stay at Planet Baobab. Smiles abound as Erin recounts her experience spending time with the habituated meerkat colony and witnessing the presence of adorable tiny babies.
