There have been many reports of wild animals flourishing under the coronavirus lockdown. While many of these are fake, it does bring into focus that the world does not need humans. We are not necessary. The air, earth, water and sky don’t need us. The natural world carries on without us. When we come out of lockdown we need to remember that we are guests of the natural world, not its masters.
