The residents of the seven villages protecting habitat for black howler monkeys must REALLY care about their noisy neighbors!

Howler monkeys are the LOUDEST LAND ANIMALS ON THE PLANET… What? You heard right!

They can howl at a volume of 140 decibels. A jet engine taking off is only 10 decibels higher than that - and that volume can rupture ear drums 🤯

The monkey’s howl can be heard 3 miles away and they belt it out when they would like to forewarn any other monkeys that their territory is off-limits. We hear you loud and clear, captain!
