At 17 years old, Francis got the news that would change the course of his life. Selected as a TD Scholar for Outstanding Community Leadership he received $70,000 dollars for involvement in his community of Ajax Ontario but more importantly, he was given fuel to chase a dream. A dream to share and a dream to inspire thousands of students. When Francis started post-secondary school, he was bombarded

by students from all across Canada asking him his perspective on scholarship applications and financial literacy. Wanting to share his expertise and experience, Francis began talking to students about post-secondary school funding. With experience background as a former Durham District School Board Student Trustee for over 60,000 students, the former Prime Minister of Ajax High School, and the founder of EmpowerME, a nationally recognized mentor-ship program, Francis always knew working with people was his life's calling. With this, Francis started Go-F**D-Yourself. G.F.Y inspires young adults take hold of their future and plan for the financial barriers they will face. G.F.Y uses storytelling to talk about real experiences that real students understand revealing their fears, dreams, and insecurities. Francis is a TD Canada Trust Scholar, the author of "Go-F**D-Yourself" the book, an Entrepreneur, and a community activist.

To think, a year ago this was just an idea. Now we're travelling the Durham Region on a G*Y book & motivational speaking tour.

G*Y x Durham District School Board has officially begun!
was incredible hitting Port Perry High School & Henry Street Secondary School.

To each Go Fund Yourself Scholarship Consulting attendee: Thank you for giving everything you had to make our time meaning, relevant, and enlightening. It was truly inspiring.

As one attendee said "Our youth need to understand that no one's going to make life easy for them. When you want something all you can do is go get it. Simple and plain'

We at Go Fund Yourself believe in the same message and we urge students to not wait for someone to pay for their schooling and just go fund themselves.
