We’ll be doing a special event next week on Ellenwood Island. There’s a lot of sea glass on Ellenwood and people have been begging us to go out. We’re going to choose the best looking day, either June 17-18-19, and aim for a 4-8pm event. $50/person, and includes a campfire and hotdogs on the beach at low tide. With music!

We’ll be having a series of special events this summer with excellent food. It will make you want to buy your own island, and live there permanently.

Two identical events Wednesday July 26th, and Saturday July 29th. If the weather is bad, we simply cancel and reschedule.

The weather is looking better. We’ve had a couple calls this week with people from Yarmouth that have friends and family visiting. We have space for 8 people on the tour tomorrow at noon.

The photo is from yesterday, a family from Quebec that flew to Nova Scotia for the weekend in their own plane.

We’ll be doing tours of the islands two days prior to our lobster fishing season, November 26th, 10am. You’ll be able to experience our fishermen loading their boats to go lobster fishing. It’s weather permitting, and you don’t pay ahead of time. If it’s too windy or rainy we simply cancel. If the lobster season is postponed, we postpone the tour.

Update: Confirmed a large porbeagle shark!

In 2019 a French documentary was done on the fisherman of the Tusket islands 30 years after one was done on local fisherman Arthur LeBlanc. To watch the episode you have to download the CBC app “ici tou.tv” and search the mini series “Les îles de l’Atlantique”. Episode 3 is on the Tusket islands and it’s fisherman.
