As of 4:00pm July 11/23 the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry has lifted the Restricted Fire Zone for the entire Province of Ontario. The Township of Madawaska Valley is now in a Level One Fire Ban, Fire Permits will not be issued; however, it is safe to have campfires. Enjoy!

Join us on a Wild Goose Chase and help us find him - if you know where he is based on the photo and hint below, click the link to let us know.

Not quite sure? Waddlesworth will travel to a new location on Monday. Hints and photos are posted on Wednesdays and Fridays, with entries are due on Monday. One random person from those who were able to correctly guess Waddlesworth's location will receive a prize.

Selfies are encouraged for an extra entry should you find Waddlesworth in person, but please don't touch him!

Did you know we have a floating chair and mobility mat at Lakeshore Park in Barry's Bay? That mat is out all summer, and the chair is available to borrow anytime. Contact [email protected] or call 613-756-2747 x220 to inquire about use of the chair.

The mobility mat allows people to manoeuvre down the beach in a wheelchair or other mobility assistance device, while the floating chair allows them to head right into the lake.
