This post is to empower your travel knowledge and for me to give you one of my tried and true tips. As Sunwing posts an apology for all the passengers they have recently inconvenienced, I am not sure if it does not much solace as travelling can be stressful enough. Where Sunwing has it's challenge compared to most airlines is they are a charter with limited flights and destinations. Therefore unless it is the most amazing, unbelievable, best ever deal ever, I do not recommend travelling on a charter. They just don't have the inventory of planes and crew to recoup on the unknown. My recommendation for a sunny spot.... West Jet Vacations!! They are the Canadians secret to deals on one of the best airlines with all the resources of the big kids. Let me know if you are looking at heading to the sun or even more exciting news is West Jet is expanding service to Europe and Japan for summer 2023 🌞🌞✈️🌞

Now that the summer travel is over, I hope everyone was able to go somewhere to enjoy the weather. Even just the beach down the road or a night in a hotel which is rated as the number one experience to feel like you are on a vacation. Not only is it Friday, it's time to start thinking about where is your next trip going to take you? Beach, culture, remote, kids...no kids?! With boosters becoming more common, kids getting their second doses and the gov't reviewing the current restrictions...it is time. As the sun goes down, or at least we think it does as grey turns to night, this memory from 7yrs ago pops up on my computer. For me this is the prettiest bird in the sky. Maybe it was the anticipation of its arrival or relief of the departure, it just makes me smile and think of travel. Which airline do you think has the prettiest bird?

As of 05 Jan, Ontario is going back to stage 2 lock down. For us on the coast we can't help but feel anxious that we will follow. I have done something that may seem simple and can't help but bring a smile and the kids love it. We have plastered a wall with travel pictures and memories. The cheesy selfies on the rides at Disney, waves on the beaches in Hawaii, and the spectacular drinks with the little umbrellas in Mexico. A reminder this too shall pass, and memories will be a reality soon enough. It is all about being able to leave safe, stay safe and return safe.

It is time to think what if? What if you were given 50k to use towards a vacation of a life time and you are leaving tomorrow. You can travel any airline to go anywhere in the world and do what ever you would like. I would fly business class on Air Tahiti to Bora Bora and stay in an over water hut at the Four Seasons. You would find me snorkeling or at the spa everyday and kids would be optional on this trip! Where would you go??

As the rules and regulations change we need to remember the view from the beach, piazza and city scape haven't. Just let me know and we can add them to a wait and see list and watch as rates change to reflect everything around it. In the meantime there are plenty of staycation options for BC. Like a world famous ski resort, islands of the Pacific Northwest, or have you ever had the experience of staying in a hotel in the most beautiful city in the world (tripstodiscover 2021)? Another part of being able to leave safe, stay safe and return safe.

As the world stands by waiting for the latest new on Omnicon. We must also not loose sight of our dream to travel.
