I went on the Thrift Store Bus Tour today. We started and ended at the Goodwill Plaza store and visited , the Impact Centre (where we had lunch) and Outlet store ($1.37 per pound for stuff) and My favourite finds today were Aldo “riding” boots and limited edition Sanrio Hello Kitty canvas Doc Martens. We also got awesome Goodwill swag!

I was at this past weekend doing some promotional work. (Also will be there this coming weekend.) I came to reflect on how lucky we are in Calgary to basically have a ski hill and recreational facility, as well as world-class athletic training facility on our doorsteps! WinSport is not even 15 minutes drive from my home. It was built for the 1988 Winter Olympics (35th anniversary this year!) Growing up in the UK in the 1980s, skiing was only for the elites and I never got into it after moving to Canada. I’ve only gone three times (first taste of it was cross country skiing in the UK), but the last time was at WinSport. I think it’s a great place to learn.
