Stylia Sales & Marketing is a brand agency for consumer goods and commercial products. We act as representatives between distributors/manufacturers to retailers throughout Canada. We work with large national accounts, independents and Regional Retailers throughout Canada in Consumer Goods.
The Role. Regional Trainer & Merchandiser.
Location: Okanagan, Vancouver, Calgary, or Edmonton. Sales territories and responsibilities vary by brand and location.
Job Summary: The company is looking for a qualified candidate to assist in in store training and merchandising. Candidates based in Alberta or Coastal British Columbia are preferred, however those based in other locations in Western Canada will be also be seriously considered. The position is a permanent full time position working with Stylia on a full time. The Trainer/Merchandiser will travel the territory, visiting retail outlets, to provide product training, and other services and communication, and to optimize the sales of Stylia brands.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide product training to sales associates, dealer management & account principals. This may be delivered in one-to-one or group sessions.
• Develop and execute online training webinars.
• Participate in dealer events, such as private sales and major weekend promotions, to support sales associates in the sale of company brands.
• Deliver and place signage and sales literature to retail locations, as required.
• Work with dealers to improve the company’s displays and floor position.
• Communicate (and reinforce prior communication) related to new models and promotions.
• Work in conjunction with Stylia management to ensure the dealer carries adequate inventory to optimize sales.
• Submit daily/weekly call reports as required by Stylia.
• Depending on the background of the candidate, some sales activities (ie. new account prospecting) may be delegated.
• Ideally, candidates will have retail sales experience in major appliances and/or bedding.
• Post-secondary education in business or economics or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Candidates must possess a suitable vehicle and a current driver’s license; car allowance and fuel reimbursement will be provided.
• Flexibility to work on evenings and weekends, as required.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.
• Creative and energetic, with a can-do attitude.
• Strong self-motivator, able to work in a fast paced business with an entrepreneurial attitude.
Experience, Education, & Skills:
• Ideally, candidates will have retail sales experience in major appliances and/or bedding.
