Partnering with our family at Sawmill Bay Shellfish Company we currently operate the ONLY Oyster Farm tour on Vancouver Island.

Big "Lonely" Doug!
A revered tree which I climbed 2 years ago. The coastal Douglas-fir, another common tree, is an important source of lumber in the region. These tall evergreen trees can grow up to 330 feet tall and are known for their distinctive cones.

Western red cedars, a common tree in the region, can live for more than 1,000 years and can grow up to 230 feet tall. The wood of the cedar tree is highly valued for its durability and resistance to decay. Ever been in a sauna? Typically made from Cedar wood.

Her last wish was to live with the Orcas and be a part of the sea 🥲 We spread the ashes of our dear friends grandmother in the waters near our home as a pod of resident oracs appeared. An honour to be able to give something to someone that you will never get back. Family is everything ❤️

Grey whales are far more curious than their other whale cousins. After years of pleasant encounters these beautiful giants love getting close to the tour boats and showing their young offspring to the excited tour guests. Baja has been such a treat!
