Celebrate Canada Day with us in the Municipality of Chester! 🎉 Join in for a day filled with festivities, fireworks, and fun.

1. Western Shore Legion: auction 10am - 2:30pm, wheels of chance and face painting from 11am.
2. New Ross Legion: 4pm opening ceremonies, music by "The Barkhouse Boyz" 7pm - 10pm, 10:15pm fireworks.
3. Hubbards Area Lions Club: Canada Day Breakfast 8am - 11am.
4. Chester Train Station: games and festivities 4pm - 8pm.

LI’L LIFE LESSONS

Location: Lordly House Museum
133 Central St., Chester, NS
Time: 1pm - 4pm

Entry fee: Class fee is by donation to the Chester Municipal Heritage Society on the day of each class/lesson.

Class size: Due to space, maximum for each lesson is 12 participants.
Lesson 7, “Beginner Sewing by Machine” is limited to 6 each day.

Registration: To register for “Li’l Life Lessons”,please e-mail: [email protected] at least 14 days ahead of lesson date. Include participant’s name, e-mail and phone number. Confirmation of your space in the class will be e-mailed back to registrant no later than 7 days before each class.

Chester's first Solstice Social and Yoga Party. A community fundraiser for Chester Municipal Historical Society green spaces. All are welcome to join outside Chester Train Station, 20 Smith Rd, June 20th 6pm.

Rain or shine you can find the Hubbards Farmers’ Market at Hubbards Barn every Saturday 8am - 12pm from May to October. Here you can find a large variety of vendors from jewelry to Portuguese tarts. The barn, just 35 minutes from Halifax, is also to community gardens and trails and is a popular wedding venue.
