Ate at ASZU - a Michelin starred restaurant around the corner from hotel. Thomas, our concierge made reservations for us. 😋

This afternoon we walked down to St Stephen’s Cathedral. Passed the Vienna Opera. The lights in the pedestrian mall area were breathtaking. Shopped at the booths around the church.

Last full day in Vienna. We are staying at the Hotel Beethoven - a small boutique hotel right downtown.
This morning we took the subway out to the Schaumburg Palace. Took the tour -40 rooms - and then shopped at the Christmas Markets in front of the palace.

Last full day in Vienna. We are staying at the Hotel Beethoven, a small boutique hotel in the downtown.
Took the subway out to Schonbrunn Palace this morning. We did the palace tour - 40 rooms ~ and then sopped at the Christmas Markets in front of the Palace. So many shopping opportunities!

Two markets in downtown Vienna today- Rathausplatz and Maria Theresien Platz. Both had lots of ornaments and great food.
Finished the day at the Riesenrad Giant Ferris Wheel in the Prater district. Small food market there as well.
Full day. 😀

After dinner we went to the Christkindlmarkt at Karlskirche. All the vendors must produce hand-crafted items for sale. There are lots of activities for the children including a parent-powered merry-go-round.

Sunday morning - Nuremberg Train Station.
Travelled along the Danube, 4 hours to Vienna at 228 km / hour!

Day 2 at Nuremberg Christmas Market. Found the Children’s Market. So neat.
People have waited 2 years to experience the markets in person. The crowds are huge.

Arrived in Nuremberg. nh Collection Hotel. Efficient European hotel.
Walked into centre of town to check out market. Attended “opening ceremonies”. VERY CROWDED, but beautiful.

Thursday November 24. Set out to enjoy the Christmas Markets of Europe.
Enjoying lunch in Terminal 3 at Caplanskys.
Found cake shop in the Terminal.
On board our KLM flight to Nuremberg, via Amsterdam.
