"Carmen, and Heather, were incredibly wonderful from booking to getting into the cabin - and all through the entire stay. This is a must stay for anyone travelling through Cape Breton. Situated right on one of the best, peaceful spots along the Grand River between Bras D'or and the Ocean, wildlife abounds, fish, waterfowl, beavers, deer, cormorans, eagles, osprey (literally diving for fish), all from your window. Fresh Lobster in the local harbours - second to none for taste! The cabin is quaint, clean, and cozy. It is a spot to stop and catch your breath from life for a time. Carmen even stopped by with some fresh pastries from the local bake sale (Italian delicious treats) - and the whole stay was incredible. Excellent laundry facilities and a Grade A+ place to stay! I highly recommend this place !! You will not be disappointed."

Carmen und Heather waren unglaublich wunderbar von der Buchung bis zum Betreten der Hütte - und während des gesamten Aufenthalts. Dies ist ein absolutes Muss für alle, die durch Cape Breton reisen. Direkt an einem der besten, friedlichen Orte entlang des Grand River zwischen Bras D'or und dem Meer gelegen, gibt es jede Menge Wildtiere, Fische, Wasservögel, Bieber, Hirsche, Kormorane, Adler, Fischadler (buchstäblich für Fische), alles aus deinem Fenster. Frischer Hummer in den lokalen Häfen - unübertroffen für den Geschmack! Die Hütte ist malerisch, sauber und gemütlich. Es ist ein Ort, um eine Zeit lang den Atem vom Leben zu erwischen. Carmen kam sogar mit einigen frischen Gebäckstücken aus dem lokalen Backverkauf (italienische köstliche Leckereien) vorbei - und der ganze Aufenthalt war unglaublich. Ausgezeichnete Wäschemöglichkeiten und eine Unterkunft der Klasse A+! Ich kann diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen!! Sie werden nicht enttäuscht sein.

Really cute cottage, very suitable for a short stay in the nature. Everything was clean and worked very well. We were invited to sit by the fire with the other guests and the owners which made us feel very welcome. Would stay there again and definitely recommend it!

The place is clean, the location is good - river view. It’s not close to any gas station or convenience store however, Carmen informed us well in advance so we brought food with us. Very quiet place which is what we want. Loved our stay :)

The cottage was cosy and charming and the surroundings are glorious. Wifi was great and very necessary since there’s no phone service anywhere in the nearby area. A great spot for touring this magnificent corner of Cape Breton

"I've been staying at these cottages my whole life and I love Grand River. The smell of cedar as soonas you walk into these cozy and quiet cottages will set the tone for a beautiful stay. Point Michaud Beach is 10 mins away, and the cottage is a welcomed retreat in the evening after the beach. The bed is very comfortable and I slept beautifully. Highly recommend staying here."
