Mouth of the Mine Tour

🍃 Take in the fresh air and beautiful scenery for a short, easy hike to the mouth of the historic Gypsum Cave in Hillsborough, NB. Learn the history of the mining operations that took place inside, the value it provided to the community, and more.

⚠️ Please note this is not a caving experience - we do not enter the mine on this tour.

Came up on this fella munching away. He didn’t seem very concerned with our presence, and we were lucky enough to watch him for quite some time. There was another one close by but I wasn’t quick enough with my camera. Maybe next time 🦫

We live by the rule ‘take out what you bring in’, but not everyone does. This is a small pile of garbage we collected just at one rest stop. It feels good to leave the woods a little cleaner than when we got there 🌲

Saw these strolling through the woods recently. If you zoom in on the black spot in the middle of the trees, you’ll see a beautiful healthy doe staring back at us. We watched her for a little while until she decided to move on. As she walked away, her fawn followed behind. Such a precious moment 🥰
