Welcome to the official Myra Canyon Bike Rental page! In 1910, Andrew McCulloch began construction of the Kettle Valley Railway that would connect the Kootenays to the BC coast. Although there were many hardships, the railway was completed in 1916. It soon became known as McCulloch's Wonder due to the extraordinary engineering involved in its construction. In 2003, the Okanagan Park wildf
ire destroyed 12 wooden trestles and damaged 2 steel trestles. March 21, 2008 the restoration was complete opening the route from the Myra Station entrance to the Ruth Station. Every year, over 60,000 visitors enjoy the spectacular Myra Canyon trail. This highly-scenic portion of the Kettle Valley Railway (KVR) runs along a steep-walled canyon. This impressive landmark is highlighted by 2 tunnels and 18 trestles. Have fun cycling all, or part of this well established 24 km circuit (12 km each way). The route can easily be cycled in 4 hours at a moderate pace with plenty of opportunity for photos and short breaks. We offer also a guided or self guided Tours inclusive transportation from and to your accommodation in Kelowna and West Kelowna. Half day Tour Myra Canyon Trestle Tour and day Tour Bike and Wine or Bike from Kelowna to Penticton the Kettle Valley Railway ending in Winery with wine tasting. We are located at the east car park (Myra Station) accessed via McCulloch Road and Myra Forest service road. We are the first and only company to offer the convenience of on-site bicycle rentals. Our new quality branded comfort bikes are available in a variety of sizes to cater for adults and youths. All rentals include the free use of a safety helmet. The bicycles are fully maintained and serviced on a daily basis. Morning and all day rental reservations are to be picked up at 9.00 and afternoon rental reservations at 13.30 at the Myra Station. It is best to make sure you reserve your bikes, you can do this by phone or through our website. It is possible however to rent without a reservation if there are bikes available. Upgraded trestles! New boards and widened pathways have been installed on all the 18 trestles at Myra Canyon.
Look at the “before” and “after” pictures. More space on the trestles will allow for easier navigation and sharing of the pathways with other cyclists and pedestrians.
But always remember: pedestrians and anybody riding on the trestles have right of way, get off your bike and wait if you can’t pass the trestles safely.

We are happy to announce that our bicycle rental will be available during normal opening hours starting tomorrow Friday May 3rd!�The trail is currently only allowing for normal pedal bikes, no special equipment is available at the moment (no tag-alongs, trailers, tandems and tricycles).

WE ARE STILL OPEN!
Changes in rental times and prices!
As of September 11th, BC Parks will begin construction work on the trestles, re-decking the pathways, just during the weekdays. They will start at Trestle 1, the furthest trestle from our rental starting point.
While this trestle is under construction there will be no through traffic, pedestrian, bike or other.
But this means you will still be able to see 17 out of the 18 trestles and both tunnels.
As there is no exact timeline provided as to when they will will move onto trestle 2 for re-decking, we have pro-actively updated our opening hours and rental periods for weekdays (Mon-Fri).
September 11-15 & 18-22: Open 9:00am-5:30pm, regular 4 hour slots with 10% discount. (walk-in rentals will not receive a discount if there are no trestles closed during the week)
Weekdays starting September 25th: Open 10:00am-4:00pm, reduced 3 hour rentals for $39+tax.
As the trestles are expected to be open on weekends (Sat & Sun), we will operate our regular hours on weekends including our last day, Thanksgiving Monday on October 9th. We thank you for your understanding and hope to welcome you this fall to enjoy the amazing fall colours at the myra canyon.

This is a great family activity!
Just 45 min from downtown Kelowna, you will find the Myra Canyon!
Rent from our adult and children bicycles (or trailers and tag-alongs),
enjoy an easy ride along the flat and smooth trail, suitable also for the little ones!
Ride out to the other side of the canyon, turn around and come the same way back.
Within the first 3 km you’ll find most of the trestles and also both of the two tunnels.
Take it at your own pace, explore as much of the trail as you want.

We are re-opening August 25!
Our thoughts are with everybody impacted by the wildfires and we thank all the first responders for their incredible efforts!
In accordance with the latest announcement to lift the travel restrictions to Kelowna effective Wednesday August 23rd,
we are opening our bicycle rental again on Friday August 25th with our regular opening hours (9am-1pm & 1:30-5:30pm).
Furthermore, we are waiving all change and cancellation fees/policies till September 4th.
Everybody is welcome to come out to visit the Myra Canyon with 18 trestles and 2 tunnels. Riding the bicycle along the flat and smooth trail from one side of the canyon to the other and the same way back, is truly a worthwhile experience.
We are located right at the trailhead parking lot on the east side of the canyon, at Myra Station.
It is encouraged to make a reservation online beforehand but we also welcome walk-ins on a first come first served basis!

Due to the wildfires and subsequent evacuations, we will be closed Sunday August 20th till Thursday August 24th. The majority of our staff has now been evacuated or put on evacuation alert. We would like to allow our staff a much needed break from work to take care of their situation and lives.
Furthermore, we want to observe the province's order to minimize tourism flow to the area. Additionally, air quality has been so poor that visibility in the Myra Canyon is very limited. We always aim to give our visitors an outstanding experience when visiting the Myra Canyon and believe we can not offer that at this moment.
Therefore, we have taken the decision to close the bicycle rental and tours from August 20-24. We will waive the current bike rental cancelations policies. All reservations booked for August 25th until September 5th can be changed or canceled at no cost or receive a full refund.
We appreciate your understanding, and look forward to welcoming you under better circumstances!

BC Parks is re-decking the trestles! Starting on September 11th, BC Parks will widen the boards on the trestles,
creating more covered space between the railings.
The first trestles that they are working on is Trestle #1, near Ruth Station, (on the very west side of the canyon).
Due to the construction work, the trestle that they are working on will be closed during the weekdays.
This will shorten your bicycle ride by a few kilometres, riding from our rental setup at Myra Station (on the east side)
towards Ruth Station. We are offering a reduced rental rate and period for the days on which BC Parks is working on the trestle.
However, most trestles are located near our rental setup at Myra Station, allowing to ride most of the trail
and enjoying most of the trestles as well as both tunnels.

Our bicycles are not just comfortable to ride but are also well maintained!
In addition to a very soft seat, we take special care in regular maintenance of the chain, gear-shifters and breaks.
We understand that riding a bicycle is only enjoyable if the gears are easy to shift and are working properly.
Also, it is important that the wheels don’t rub on the frame and of course that the breaks work well.
Every morning and before every rental, our staff takes each bicycle for a short ride and checks all functionality.
Any bicycle that is not passing the test is being put aside and repaired by our bike manager Joe Vos.
Included in the bicycle rental is a mandatory safety helmet. We regularly clean the helmets and thoroughly sanitize them before every use.

We offer the convenience to prepare and set aside your rental bicycle right at the trailhead of the Myra Canyon!
Additionally, we also offer tour packages with pickup at your accommodation in Kelowna or West Kelowna.

Conveniently, select the bike rental at the trailhead or choose to book the tour package (including transportation) and
choose a desired date and your bicycle size of choice.
Any reservations for the on-site bicycle rental have to be made online by 8pm the day before rental.
Reservations for a tour are to be placed online at least 24 hour in advance.
If you would like to rent a special equipment such as a tandem or trike, please send us an email at least 24 hours in advance
