Some great news out today! This morning the Canadian Federal government delivered some welcome and long-awaited news, announcing the removal of all COVID-19 measures at Canadian borders for all methods of travel as of September 30, 2022. The effects of this announcement are as follows for both domestic and international travellers arriving at the border October 1, 2022 and onward:
- Canada will no longer require proof of COVID-19 vaccination to enter.
- The ArriveCan application will no longer be needed, however it will remain active as an option for travellers to enter their information.
- Random testing will not be conducted at the border and proof of a negative test will not be required prior to entry.
- Reporting of COVID-19 symptoms to federal agencies and mandatory testing / quarantining is no longer required.
- Mandatory masking will not be required at airports, rail and bus stations or ferry terminals. Planes, trains or coaches operating under the authority of Canadian Transportation Agency will not require masking.
