We wandered through the charming alleys, exploring the castle grounds, with breathtaking views along the Vltava River.

In Vienna, the desserts are just as beautiful as the city itself.

I have Budapest on my mind this week! I'm getting ready to sail on the Danube in a couple of weeks. I will be starting my river cruise in the beautiful city of Budapest.

Budapest has an undeniably astounding mix of exceptional buildings, and beautiful sights to see, including two UNESCO World Heritage sites (Andrassy Avenue and the Danube with the Buda Castle and the Parliament).

There are also pampering-healing baths, a full range of museums, some churches, like the big Catholic Basilica, or the elaborate Jewish Synagogue, and of course the markets in Budapest – brimming with flavors and colors.

Besides baths, museums, churches, and markets, however, some famous and popular tourist attractions in Budapest are somewhat special architecturally or historically.
Just to mention a few of the buildings among the top tourist attractions:

Venice, Italy, is bringing out a new initiative to combat over-tourism with the introduction of a daily access fee starting April 25. This unique experiment aims to alleviate the pressures faced by one of the world's most beloved historic cities.

Day visitors will be required to purchase a €5 ticket on select days throughout 2024 for entry between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM, with exemptions for locals, youths, and overnight guests.

As the travel industry closely observes Venice's initiative, it prompts reflection on the broader issue of over-tourism and the need for sustainable travel practices.

It was a week of learning from travel suppliers, connecting with fellow agents, sharing ideas, and making new friendships. I learned one thing for sure...
