In June, students and special guests inaugurated the garden and celebrated the culmination of hard work, dedication, and a shared vision for a greener, more vibrant future 🌲 🪴.

Thank you to Rosemount Technology Center, BMW Blainville, Grade 5 parents and Dunrae Gardens parental community for your generous donations and volunteering your time to making this project come to life!

Mardi, le 11 juin 2024, les deux classes de première année ont effectué une sortie scolaire au Biodôme et à l'Insectarium de Montréal.

Au Biôdome, les élèves ont découvert de nombreuses espèces d'animaux et de plantes des Amériques. Une belle occasion de se rapprocher de la nature. Après le dîner, les enfants se sont rendus à l'Insectarium pour vivre une expérience muséale immersive et éducative leur donnant l'occasion de se frotter aux insectes et réinventer leur rapport avec ces bestioles vivantes et naturalisées. Cette expédition sur les deux sites fut une excellente expérience à la fois ludique et éducative pour tous. 🐸🐦‍⬛🐝🐛🦋🐌🐞🕷️🐢🦎🐠🐟🦈

Vendredi, le 7 juin, les élèves de 2e année ont passé une magnifique journée à l’Intermiel.
• Visite de la mini-ferme,
• Aire de jeux,
• Rencontre avec un apiculteur,
• Salle d’extraction et dégustations,
• Visite de la salle de découvertes avec un mur d’abeilles
• Spectacle ludique avec une apicultrice
Quelle belle journée à la fois éducative et amusante !

On May 14th, Dunrae Gardens Elementary had a mini-production underscoring the importance of family, the richness of their diversity, and the culture of each family. It was a celebration of International Family Day which is a day to honour and promote families. Approximately 100 families attended!

There were many student performers such as dancers, poets, pianists, personal narrators, Caribou math participants, and cultural performers (Scottish, African, Caribbean, Italian, Greek, North American, and more). Our school’s Spiritual and Cultural Animator Ms. Choy said that the event was, “a way to give back to the families, all of whom endlessly give themselves to their children”.

On Friday, June 7th, our Vernissage was another opportunity for the school to showcase its exceptional talent. With works from our graduating class and highlights from our creative student body , the creative force of our little artists is something not to be reckoned with. Les élèves du préscolaire ont utilisé leur imagination dans la classe de musique. Ils ont voyagé en Australie ✈️ et ont créé les sons de la forêt tropicale avec des instruments de musique. 🎶 🎵 🐸 🌳

Pour fêter le printemps, le lapin de Pâques est venu visiter notre école la semaine dernière. Il voulait vivre une journée comme étudiant à Dunrae Gardens. Aussi, nos élèves ont eu la chance de faire une chasse aux œufs dans l’école en terminant avec une gâterie sucrée; que de beaux souvenirs! 🐰🐣🥚 #ChooseTheEMSB #WeAreEnglishMTL

Les élèves de la maternelle 4 et 5 ans ont reçu la visite de La Bibitte Mobile. Ils ont découvert différentes espèces d'insectes, d'arthropodes et de reptiles 🕷️🐞🐜🦎🐍

On February 14th, our grade 6 students had a “Winter Olympic Day” in Mohawk Park. They played many fun activities/ games and their morning ended with a delicious 😋 hot chocolate and some Timbits. A big thank to the graduation committee for organizing such an enjoyable day for our future graduates 🎓❄️ 🛷 ⛷️
