Pacific Coastal Airlines Expands Service Between Vancouver and Penticton
MEDIA RELEASE
"As Penticton continues to grow, this expansion of service by Pacific Coastal Airlines is very welcome.
We know more people are calling our community home and these improved connections with the Lower
Mainland will help to drive our economy forward. Whether you are flying for business or pleasure,
Penticton is the place to be," said Julius Bloomfield, Mayor of Penticton.
"We are absolutely delighted with this expanded service," stated Thom Tischik, Executive Director at
Visit Penticton. "This means more visitors can have convenient access to the city and region and also
this is great news for our residents to reach Vancouver and connect to points beyond.”
"It's clear that Pacific Coastal recognizes Penticton as a sought-after destination that is both iconic and
economical for those seeking an Okanagan experience," says Karen Davy, Convention Bureau and
Business Liaison Manager at Meet in Penticton. "That includes business travellers coming to explore our
amenities and services, then bringing their meetings and conventions here. We're incredibly excited
about this expansion."
“Destination Osoyoos is thrilled that Pacific Coastal Airlines has announced an expansion to their
services from the Penticton Airport. The confidence and support they have shown in our region are very
encouraging as we continue to rebuild our communities and businesses and recover from the many
challenges the region has endured over the past few years. Further investment and visitation will surely
be increased to the South Okanagan as a result of the new services announced,” says Kelley Glazer,
Executive Director CHA, MA Tourism and Hospitality.
“The communities of the South Okanagan have partnered with Pacific Coastal Airlines to develop flydrive touring programs that showcase our award-winning wineries and breweries, championship golf and
epic hikes. The new schedule is so convenient - larger aircraft and additional flights mean that more
people can explore more often!” Says Jackie Frederick from Visit South Okanagan.
“We are extremely excited by the news from Pacific Coastal regarding the flights they will be providing
to the interior starting in April. The increased service greatly enhances access to our communities from
across the province, and supports residents from the interior to be able to venture to other parts of BC
for work and play! This is great news for the South Okanagan!” Says Ian Lobb, Executive Director, Oliver
Tourism.
Passengers can make bookings for these flights via the Pacific Coastal Airlines website, through the Call
Centre at 1-800-663-2872, or by contacting their preferred travel agent.
