Our team paid Little Qualicum Cheeseworks a visit, a cute cheesemaking farm on picturesque Vancouver Island. Their small team of farmers, cheesemakers, and food lovers create delicious products with milk from their happy herd of cows! Try their excellent variety of cheeses, creamy ice cream, and farm fresh milk, and purchase a cute T-shirt from their farmgate store.

This week at the market we will have:
- Over 100 entrepreneurs will be showcasing their small businesses along Veterans Way.
- Cafe Ole will provide musical entertainment at the musician tent.
- A talented local photographer will document our new business incubation program, “Hatch + Hype.”
- The children’s activity this week will involve seed planting.
- Caffe Verde, Flyte Cafe, Le Rendezvous Crepe, and Luminous Brews will be onsite serving up made-to-order beverages and food truck fare.
- Additionally, stalls will offer locally grown food, flowers, small-scale meats, cheese. and honey for the community and participants in the nutrition coupon program.

And of course, the Legion will also be hosting their pancake breakfast from 8.30 until 11:30 am.

If you've got empties, come on over to the Qualicum Beach Curling Club [644 Memorial Ave] on Sunday, August 18th to drop them off! The bottle drive fundraiser will be taking place from 1:00 - 3:30pm. Proceeds will go towards facility upgrades which will be completed this summer.

They will accept cans (pop, beer, coolers, etc.), bottles (wine, beer, hard liquor, juice, etc.), plastic bottles (alcohol and non-alcohol) wine boxes (keep the bladders in the boxes), and milk containers (no creamers please).
