Arriving in the Solomon Islands on 14 Apr 2022 the journey will spend a few days exploring.

While in the Solomon Islands we will visit Nendo, Santa Ana Island, Tulagi and Guadalcanal - On Nendo there will be a meeting with the village elder. Enjoy traditional dance as you become immersed in the local culture.
- After arriving on Santa Ana Island you will be greeted by the village "warriors".
- On Tulagi it is time to learn about village life. - Arriving in Honaiara, the capital of Guadalcanal there are many examples of delicate inlay work on eaves, gables and canoes. Yet WWII buffs will know this as a location where fierce battles raged.

The Solomon Islands have many different types of experiences.

Journey beginning in April 2022

Before boarding the HANSEATIC Inspiration in Noumea, New Caledonia you can spend some time in this remote area exploring independently. There are many options that could include relaxing at a beach side resort, visiting the National Museum and other galleries, maybe do some hiking or immerse yourself in learning about the Kanak culture. Try the kava while here.

Once on board you will explore some of the Solomon Islands, stop in Papua New Guinea and carry on to Palau.

Most travelers in North America have not heard about the Hapag-Lloyd Cruise line. It is based out of Germany. They offer a select number of itineraries in English and German. All their vessels are small with the largest carrying 500 passengers.

While this cruise line does a number of well known destinations they also take the adventurous traveler off the beaten path.

Learning about them I became very intrigued by a few of their itineraries. The Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea and Palau. These are ultimate destinations to get to that speak to the traveler who wants to experience the path less traveled. This journey is on their newest expedition vessel the Hanseatic Inspiration. Expedition Voyage: April 2022

As a travel consultant I am always looking for something different. Even before COVID-19 travelers were seeking a different type of travel experience and were already pivoting away from mass market travel. Experienced travelers were already turning towards more experiential, unique and sustainable travel. No more status quo even if the price tag was a bit higher.

I am looking for seasoned and adventurous travelers who are seeking to experience off-the-beaten path travel. Embarking in Noumea, New Caledonia travelers will navigate through the Solomon Islands, stop in Papua New Guinea and end in the paradise of Palau while on board the Hanseatic Inspiration expedition vessel.

You will experience diverse and undiscovered destinations: an unspoilt paradise with around 1,000 islands is awaiting you when you set out in one of the most beautiful regions in the Pacific that very few people ever see.

This is not a trip for timid travelers. While on board is luxury you will encounter a range of experiences on shore. There is a focus on human culture, landscapes, with a bit of excitement arriving in less traveled destinations.
