As the oldest agricultural fair that has proudly showcased agriculture in Sussex since 1841, this three-day event is a true celebration of our community's rich farming heritage, bringing together locals and visitors alike for 3 days packed with fun, excitement, and tradition.
One of the highlights of the fair is the chance to see our local 4-H groups showcase their talents, hard work, and dedication to agriculture through a series of competitive and educational events. From livestock demonstrations to horse shows, you'll get an up-close look at the future of farming.
But the Kings County Agricultural Fair isn’t just about farming—it’s an event for the entire family! There’s plenty of entertainment for all ages, including games, food vendors, and the crowd-favorite Farmer’s Olympics, where participants compete in fun, agricultural-themed challenges that test their farming skills and strength.
After a couple of days of fun activities, you will not want to miss the Kings County Agricultural Fair Night Market on Wednesday. An indoor market, with local vendors, live music and great food under the lights!

The 2024 NBAAC Sussex Flea Market will take place on August 16th, 17th and 18th.
The NBAAC Flea Market is held annually, on the weekend of the third Saturday of August, in Princess Louise Park, 10 Leonard St., Sussex.
Originally organized by the club as an antique automotive flea market and car corral, the “Sussex Flea Market” has since become a 3-day provincial extravaganza with a broad range of items for sale from hundreds of vendors. Right now we have 860 sites, which are usually all filled.
FLEA MARKET HOURS
Friday: 8am to 8pm – No entrance after 7pm
Saturday: 8am to 8pm – No entrance after 7pm
Sunday: 8am to 3pm
Admission is $5 per adult.
Children 12 and under admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
Whether you’re searching for rare collectibles, jewelry, handicrafts, household items, automotive parts/items or just looking to spend a fun afternoon browsing through acres of bargains, you’ll find it all at the Sussex Flea Market!
There is also an annual Show & Shine held on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. One entrance pass per car with a minimum donation of $5. Dash plaques are also available for participants.
**PLEASE NOTE**:
NO DOGS OR OTHER ANIMALS ON PREMISES BY THE PUBLIC, ENTRANCE CAN BE REFUSED. PLEASE, DON’T LEAVE YOUR PETS IN YOUR VEHICLE WHILE YOU WALK THE FIELD. KEEP THEM AT HOME WHERE THEY’LL BE SAFE AND SECURE.
No bicycles, scooters, motorized vehicles or golf carts allowed on the grounds by the public.

Don't miss out on todays Summer fun at the park hosted by The Salvation Army Church.

Come join us at O'Connell Park, Sussex under the shade of the trees from 12:00-2:00. There will be a free BBQ while supplies last, free bouncy castle, and summer games. Also The Town of Sussex is hosting a Bubble party from 11:00-12:30. There is a splash pad on site, and a park. Come and celebrate summer with us!

Did you know The town of Sussex is seeking to commission two new site-specific murals that will be created in the summer/fall of 2024 and will remain on public display for 5-10 years. These two new dynamic pieces of art will connect and engage with the community, transforming the sites into vibrant, inviting and meaningful public places.

Eligible artists are invited to submit expressions of interest and qualifications to this call to AX, the Arts and Culture Centre of Sussex, who are working with the town on this important project.

The commissioned artists will be selected through an open, two-stage process. The project budget of $22,000 CAD (inclusive of all taxes) and $11,000 CAD (inclusive of all taxes) respectively includes all costs directly associated with the artwork: including taxes, artist fees, production, materials, equipment rental, installation, and other professional services, accommodations, insurance, WorkSafe fee, travel and other incidental and production expenses.

No fewer than 4 artists will be shortlisted and each paid $500 CAD (inclusive of all taxes) to create detailed proposals.
