Papineau Lake Cottage For Rent

Property: 1.5 acre gradual sloping lot with 230' of sand beach waterfront. The back of the lot is treed & perfect for exploring, building a fort or playing hide & seek. There is a large circular driveway with lots of parking that leads right up to the cottage for easy unloading. The waterfront is 230' of gorgeous sand beach facing south/southeast. It is located in a

private cove with only 1 other cottage in the cove. The beach extends down the length of the point for evening beach walks/exploring. The waterfront is gradually sloped, hard packed sand with minimal to no weeds, perfect for kids! We completed some major restoring/renovating in 2017 and continue to make improvements every year. The main cottage contains a living room/dining room combo with a comfortable sectional & chairs, a large dining table & chairs for 8. The gorgeous original stone fireplace has a propane insert; so with a click of a button, you can take the chill out of a cool evening. There are many board games, a flat screen TV with DVD/Blue ray player (some movies will be available at the cottage), and a Bluetooth speaker for music. On the lake side of this room are huge glass window & glass sliding door that leads to the 30' x 10' wood composite deck (no more slivers!!). This glass wall provides an amazing lake view from every seat in the room. The Kitchen is on the smaller side, but with a large lake facing window, it is bright and will be stocked with most everything you would need at the cottage. The door off the Kitchen leads to a side deck that has yet another view of the lake & contains a large top of the line Napoleon propane BBQ, 6 person hot tub (please see Hot Tub info. below) & outdoor shower. Back in the cottage, there is a large 3 piece bathroom with shower. The cottage has it's own well with iron filtration system & septic system. In the bathroom there is also a washer & dryer for longer stays. Off of the living room is a screened in porch with a view of the lake. The porch leads to the 2 large & newly renovated bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and view of the lake. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed & single bed. Pillows & a blanket will be provided for each bed, however sheets & towels will need to be brought. A playpen is also available for use. There is also a Bunkie approximately 20' from the cottage. It contains a small table & chairs for games, a queen bed & a small deck to enjoy the water view. Amenities: There is a rustic boathouse on the beach that is stocked with all kinds of chairs, water & sand toys, life jackets & more. Beside the boat house is a stand that has 2 kids kayaks, 1 adult kayak, canoe, 2 paddle boards & a paddle boat. There is a dock on the property **the boat docked at the cottage is NOT for renters use**, but you are more than welcome to dock your boat. There is a boat launch only a couple minutes down the road. The 6 person hot tub is on the deck & is salt water. The tub will be clean at the beginning of your stay & we will do a check in in mid-rental to go over checking the chemicals. Renting:

Peak Season: June 26 - September 4 - $2000/week. Shoulder Season: June 5 - 26 & September 4 - October 15 - $1200/week, please contact for weekend or nightly rental rates. Damage Deposit: $500 Damage Deposit will be returned within 1 week following the rental, subject to property inspection. Payment: 50% due at time of booking & remaining 50% + damage deposit due 2 weeks prior to rental. Cleaning: We run on a leave it how you found it basis. There will be cleaning supplies available at the cottage. A property manager will inspect the property at the end of every stay to ensure the property is clean. If the property is not clean there will be a charge, based of the state of the property, taken off the damage deposit. If you would like a worry free vacation - please inquire about our cleaning package for an extra fee.

Busy work weekend at the cottage! Wood split & being stacked for bonfires, dock & boat lift in, boathouse emptied, leaves raked & burned & hot tub deep cleaned! Youngest found a salamander friend in the wood pile.

The Bent Anchor is a great little place to have food & drinks. Located in Combermere (15-20 minute drive from the cottage) & now having entertainment every Saturday night. A great option for a night out while at the cottage!

Officially opened the cottage last weekend!!! Spring work starts… already a bunch of leaning or dead trees cut down & need to be cleaned up. With the way the ice went out, a ton of beach debris to clean up! So happy to be back!!!
