The Old Town Lunenburg, a colonial fishing town, is a UNESCO World Heritage site in the province of Nova Scotia. It is one of two urban communities in North America designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Lunenburg is considered to be the best surviving example of a planned British colonial settlement.
Lunenburg town is an amazing place to live. There are beautiful affordable properties, historic buildings, scenery to die for, hiking trails and gorgeous beaches. Even with the slower pace of life in Lunenburg, Halifax is just an hour away with all the big city amenities and attractions that you could want.
