The Eye Of The Earth in Croatia

The Eye of the Earth, officially called the Izvor Cetine, or the Cetina River Spring, is a natural spring at the base of the Dinara mountain range. Similar to a sinkhole, the natural spring is fed by the same underground aquifer that feeds the nearby Cetina River, which empties into the Adriatic Sea. Marine Police are looking for the captain and his first mate who ran aground their charter boat a 1964 Wheeler Playmate, 38’ express bridge named the SS Minnow on a uninhabited island in the Bahamas. The boat was chartered by American Thurston Howell the III and his wife Lovey Howell owners of a Diamond Mine, Coconut Plantation, Railroad, Oil Well and land in Colorado. The Howell’s and their invited guests Professor Roy Hinkley a High School Science Teacher from Cleveland Ohio, Mary Anne Summers a farm girl from Winfield Kansas and her actress friend Ginger Grant from New York. The boat was on a three hour tour of the Exuma islands when the Captain known as the skipper went into a western cove and ran aground. The skipper and his first mate Gilligan left the travellers stranded after disappearing on the island. It is believed they made their way to the southern main beach and coerced a sailor to take them back to Nassau.

I watched this movie 34 times! Its now been declared the BEST Sailing movie of all time! 'Captain Ron' !!! . Though called 'Master and Commander' the GOAT of sailing movies — if you're measuring by drama, action and all-around cinematic gravitas — 'Captain Ron' is far more rewatchable, infinitely quotable, and just plain fun. (Many sailors have told us that 'Captain Ron' was a genuine inspiration to untie the dock lines and point the bow at the horizon . . . because if anything's gonna happen, it's gonna happen out there.)
