Tour-Mate Systems is excited to announce its collaboration with Old North Illuminated. Tour-Mate Systems and Old North Illuminated worked together to bring guests an exciting, educational and engaging audio tour to Old North Church visitors. Old North Illuminated is a non-profit organization that interprets and preserves Boston’s Old North Church, an iconic landmark of the American Revolution. This year, the Church celebrates 300 years, making it the oldest standing church in Boston.
Tour-Mate Systems was delighted to work with Old North Illuminated to bring this important part of American history to life. With both an English and Spanish tour, guests can expect a riveting visit experience at the Old North Church. Old North Church’s audio tour launched successfully in April, with feedback exceeding expectations. Catherine Matthews, Director of Education at Old North Church, stated that “the self-guided audio tour is a hit. Visitors love the tour and they find the devices easy to use…. We could not be happier—and would work with Tour-Mate again in a heartbeat.”
The audio tours can be accessed on Tour-Mate’s SC600 Mini Listening Wands. The Listening Wands are easy to use, have a 50 language/tour capability and can store up to 199,800 messages. Tour-Mate’s Content Creation team worked closely with Old North Church to meet their every need. Tour-Mate also had the pleasure of providing the TM600 Group Guide System to Old North Church, which Matthews stated as a “game-changer”. With the launch of these new audio tours, we hope visitors will continue to be inspired by the stories of American history.
