Our Story
New World Wine tours is a passion project of founder Mackenzie Putici. Mackenzie has traveled the world tasting wines from Europe, Asia, North and South America, and wishes to bring the love of wine back home to Ontario. Mackenzie believes the wines of Ontario are over-looked and under-appreciated and hopes to share the beauty and delight of our wines and our region to locals and visitors of Ontario alike. Mackenzie has worked in restaurants, in tourism, teaching, and translation. He is a multi-lingual, and enigmatic man with lots of enthusiasm for wine and for life. Not only does Mackenzie love wine, but is also certified by the Wine and Spirits Education Trust, and is a certified sake professional. We mentioned languages, and Mackenzie loves them. Your tour can be provided in English, Spanish, or French. With a little forgiveness Italian and Romanian can be provided. Since inception the team has grown and In September 2018 New World Wine Tours launched a sister site called EatingThroughTO.com where guests can find access to our many new food and drink tours in Toronto as well as insightful neighbourhood guides, a foodie blog, and a curated list of the Top 50 Things to Eat in Toronto.
