Our staff is dedicated to showing you the best whales that our area has to offer including fin, humpback, s***m, minke, orca, and pilot whales. You may expect to see various species of dolphins, porpoises, eagles, offshore birds including puffins and northern gannets. We have over 25 years of experience taking clients to view whales in this area. Each trip will have a maximum of 11 passengers.

Trips from both bays today. Went out from Trinity to see the Steller's Sea Eagle this morning and also had trips happening out of Princeton. In Princeton, we saw 9 s***m whales, bald eagles, puffins, gannets, guillemots and murres. Our bald eagle nest had a chick hatch over night and Mom and Dad were both busy watching over the new addition.

What a day we had out there! 7 s***m whales, 1 humpback whale, 100 white beaked dolphins, 100 harp seals, a bearded seal, the Steller's sea eagle, bald eagles, puffins, gannets, guillemots and murres! Today's humpback is NYC0138 last seen by us in July of 2022 in the same area that she was spotted in today!

The whales were elusive this morning but conditions improved this afternoon to allow us to find 2 s***m whales, a caribou and her calf, bald eagles, puffins, gannets, guillemots and murres. The waterfalls today were beautiful after all this rain!

The breacher was a calf and Mom (the tail picture) is NA-3840 first spotted by us here in July of 2012 and last spotted here by us in 2015. Welcome back NA-3840!

Had 3 humpback whales migrating through the bight today along with bald eagles, puffins, gannets, guillemots and murres. One of today's humpbacks is known to us, the others did not show their tails. The tail shot is of KP0610 also known as NA-10910. We have seen this whale in our region in 2010, 2011, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2024! Welcome back old friend!

Minke Whale Goes People Watching

On Monday, we took some people out for the whales to watch! It is so very rare to see a Minke whale like this and our guests got to hang with this one for a full hour!

A beautiful morning on the water with 1 iceberg, 2 sperm whales, 2 minke whales, bald eagles, puffins, gannets, guillemots and murres. Thanks to Lindsay Forester for sharing this video that she took of a sperm whale!

There are a few new things happening this season with Sea of Whales Adventures. Join us for our Rock The Boat geological boat tours of the Discovery UNESCO Global Geopark happening Tuesday mornings starting in June or by private charter at any time.

It’s Shark Week here at Sea of Whales! This is a basking shark that was as long as our boat. 26 feet! Basking sharks are filter feeders, they swim around with their mouths open feeding on plankton. So great to see them coming back to this area!

We are privileged to be able to take people out so the whales can watch them. Watch this clip of one of our groups today being thoroughly checked out by a mama humpback and her calf. In total today, we saw 5 humpback whales, 3 basking sharks, bald eagles, puffins, gannets, guillemots and murres.

Another amazing day with the Open Hall iceberg. It was doing lots of rocking and rolling today but is still holding on. Also had a humpback whale, bald eagles, puffins, gannets, guillemots and murres.

We have found the superpod! Had 250-300 white side dolphins today with 2 ocean sunfish, bluefin tuna, bald eagles and puffins. All of this and some fall colours on the hills too!

Great conditions out on the water today with 250-300 white sided dolphins, 2 ocean sunfish, 3 bluefin tuna, bald eagles, puffins, gannets, and guillemots. It's so tough to really show the size of these groups of dolphins as the boat is literally surrounded but this video shows a small portion of the group.

Finally caught up with the pilot whales again today. Check out the cool little whistling sounds that they make. The louder clicks in the background are sperm whales echolocating. Had 20 pilot whales today, bald eagles, puffins, gannets, guillemots and murres.
